I took the longest shower ever in Vernon’s bathroom, removing all the dirt that I had possibly got from Ryan’s house, scrubbing the parts where he touched me, rubbing my skin until it turned red. And cried all the tears until I felt my tear ducts dried, so that I won’t be crying again in front of Uno.
I pulled a shirt from Vernon’s closet and put on. I dried my hair with the soft towel and brushed it slowly in front of a full-length mirror, thinking what would I say when Uno arrived. How would I react in front of him?
I sat on the bed and clutched a pillow in my arms, waiting for Uno and Vernon.
While I was waiting for them to arrive, an hour has passed and it felt like forever. I didn’t blame them if the streets were filled with traffics at this busy hour. I just hoped that they were driving carefully and will arrive here safely.
