Chapter 123 DROWNING

I followed Sofia and Jeno into the crowded house and the loud bass of the music instantly hit me hard. I looked around and frowned. Why it was so extremely crowded on Kate’s birthday party? I thought she only got few friends in school. Did she pay them to show up? Or people were just so desperate for free food and drinks?

I shrugged and roamed my eyes, seeing that there were people sitting on the couches, people dancing, and a huge bar on one side of the room to where Sofia and Jeno already seated on the stool at the bar and ordered three beers for us.

I made my way to them and a tall guy blew a wolf whistle as I walked in front of him. I raised up a dirty finger and glared, making him raised his hands, surrendering.

I watched the bartender who was busy making cocktails, showing us his skills on how to mix different drinks. “Where’s Uno, Jeno?” I asked him as I sat on one of the spare tools beside Sofia and took a sip on my beer.
