Chapter 31 STUPID UNCLE

Samantha’s POV

“I’m okay,” I said as I stepped back, pulling away from Caleb’s hold, feeling as if I had stained his million-dollar suit. Moreover, I was really embarrassed of letting myself be seen by him in this vulnerable state.

“Are you sure?” he asked, his reluctance evident in his motions as he pulled back and shoved his hands in his pockets.

I nodded before I looked around and pressed my ear to the sliding doors trying to hear if someone’s coming to help us. “Hello? Is anybody out there?”

“Oh my God!” I felt like I wanted to cry. “I should call Miggy.”

Caleb stopped my hand from pulling out my phone from my pocket and I wondered looking up at him. “He can’t do anything to save you.”

“What?”

“I mean…” he brushed his hair with his fingers. “There’s no reception here.”

I nodded as I pulled back my hand from his hold.

“Anyway, why are you dressed like a cupcake?” he suddenly asked.

Cupcake? Did he mean my hair looked like icing?
