Chapter 74 CLEAR YOUR MIND

Samantha’s POV

“I’m sorry, but I have to go…” I said after pulling away from him. This wasn’t right. We’re in a public place and anyone could see us.

Caleb stared at me, like he wanted to say something. But then he looked away and nodded before he stood up from his seat and grasped my hand. “I’ll walk you home.”

“No thanks…I can get a cab,” I said, slowly pulling away my hand from him.

“Samantha…” I heard him whisper into the air. “Is there something wrong?”

“Nothing,” I smiled to make him less worried. But I knew the smile I gave him didn’t reach my eyes.

“I’m sorry about what happened last night.”

Last night? I should be the one to say sorry because I left him hanging. I left him for Miggy and now I think I was so stupid to do that. I wished I didn’t leave. I wished I’d just stay with him all night.

Miggy shouldn’t have hurt me. We should’ve been together until now. I shouldn’t have seen his true colors.
