Chapter 100 PATHETIC

Samantha’s POV

I called an Uber and in fifteen minutes, I was already in front of a huge house, looking like a mansion. This house in particular was at least five times larger than my apartment. It’s an old-fashioned-looking brick house, and the yard was sloped, making it appear to be sitting on a hill.

Was this Ross’ house? I didn’t expect he was this rich.

What could be going on right now that Ross could possibly need me to come here? I hope Caleb was okay. I hope he’s not hurt. I couldn’t make out what the crashing noise was, but it sounded like something breaking.

I took a deep breath and walked up the steps on the sidewalk, and knocked hard on the mahogany door when I finally reached it. The door opened within a minute.

“Sam...” Ross pulled me in a gentle hug. “Thank you for coming. I’m sorry if I disturbed you but I really need you right now,” he said, gesturing me to come inside.
