Samantha's POV
Caleb bought me a dress for tonight's dinner, and when it arrived, I was overjoyed that it fit me perfectly. It was a floor-length black sparkled dress with thin straps that barely held up my breasts, but the sweetheart neckline and off-shoulder look of the top, and a high slit that ran up to my thigh.
The gown was a true work of art. It clung to my body like a second skin, only flaring out slightly at the skirt due to a high slit that revealed a little too much.
Caleb's figure stood by the door, but he was preoccupied with a phone call, so I came to a halt near the stairwell.
Given how busy he was seriously talking to the person on the other end, it irritated me that he didn't look up even once as I made my way down the stairs.
