CHLOE's POV
After walking inside the door of my apartment, I kicked my shoes off and placed them neatly by the door before plopping down on the couch in front of my television. A yawn escaped my lips, and my vision became blurry. ‘‘I believe it is against the law to be this exhausted...’’ I muttered under my breath.
I had no idea why my boss had assigned me such a large quantity of work before the clock struck five, but I had done everything in my ability to accomplish them all, since I didn't want to be forced into working overtime.
Mr. Gonzalez acted and behaved in such an unusual manner, and I would like to believe that it was because I requested that Rosie be barred from the company's premises.
I glanced at the clock on the wall and it showed six o’clock in the evening. With a sigh, I forced myself up and headed upstairs to my bathroom to shower. When I was done, I threw on a loose shirt and underwear and headed to the kitchen to make myself a sandwich for dinner.
