“Please be my date on Saturday night’s party…” Mr. Easton Gonzalez said after submitting the report I had written earlier. The yellow folder he was handing me back hung in the air as I stared at him in shock.
"Excuse me?" I shrieked, my gaze fixed on his. "I'm not going on a date with you!" I exclaimed, glaring at my boss.
“Don’t worry Miss Bell, it’s a fake date…” my boss informed me and I felt like I was splashed with cold water on the face.
Easton Gonzalez, the CEO of Gonzalez Steel Manufacturing and Industries asked his personal assistant Chloe Bell to be his fake date on their company’s Silver Anniversary to annoy and upset his ex-wife who cheated on him with his best friend. He chose Chloe out of all the girls around him because he knew Chloe wasn’t like the other girls who were crazy about him.

The night of the anniversary has finally come and I was standing here in front of my full-length mirror, my mouth wide open as I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.


I looked very gorgeous in the sparkly tight black strapless dress that halted my mid-thighs. The five inches of silver stiletto heels added further height to my 5’7’’ which made me look incredibly tall. My hair and make-up created by a famous make-up artist were outstanding. I looked incredibly sophisticated.
