“Please be my date on Saturday night’s party…” Mr. Easton Gonzalez said after submitting the report I had written earlier. The yellow folder he was handing me back hung in the air as I stared at him in shock.
"Excuse me?" I shrieked, my gaze fixed on his. "I'm not going on a date with you!" I exclaimed, glaring at my boss.
“Don’t worry Miss Bell, it’s a fake date…” my boss informed me and I felt like I was splashed with cold water on the face.
Easton Gonzalez, the CEO of Gonzalez Steel Manufacturing and Industries asked his personal assistant Chloe Bell to be his fake date on their company’s Silver Anniversary to annoy and upset his ex-wife who cheated on him with his best friend. He chose Chloe out of all the girls around him because he knew Chloe wasn’t like the other girls who were crazy about him.

I slid my eyes shut and focused on maintaining composure, trying to stop my heart from beating so fast. I took a deep breath for a moment to collect myself before opening my eyes once again and stared at her. ‘‘I believe you're fully aware of what it is that I want right now, Chloe...’’


She flashed a grin as she slowly brushed her lips against mine, and at that moment I felt my body instantly ignited with an electric spark. I want this, as well as to get closer to her, and for her to make the first move to kiss me. The burning sensation that was already there within me became much more intense, and every part of my body began to tingle.


I kissed her back and we were lost for a moment.


‘‘Hey, you two! Get a room!’’ Mori shouted and Chloe giggled as she pulled away from me but I didn’t let her, and instead dragged her back closer to my body.


‘‘Where are you going?’’ my voice was surprisingly raspy as I asked her.
