CHLOE's POV
Once we got inside the house, I made a dash towards the room we’re occupying, with Easton following close behind. He took hold of my arm and whirled me around before he kicked the door shut.
‘‘Let go of me, Easton…’’ I said firmly while pulling my arm from his grasp. ‘‘Why are you making me go through this? Why don’t you just leave me if you always want to hurt me? Why are we still together, Easton?’’
His jaw clenched as he continued to stare at me, his eyes were filled with pain as he did so. ‘‘Stop it, Chloe. I’m just… I just needed to be alone. I can’t think straight if you’re there around me.’’
I was speechless as I gaped at him in shock. ‘‘Alone? You needed to be alone?! But you’re with that Scarlet whore!’’ It pained me to think that I sounded so broken and how shaky my voice was, but there's nothing I can do about that. ‘‘And what is it you want to think about that you needed to be alone?’’
