Chapter 159 SURPRISE

CHLOE'S P O V

‘‘I guess… I'll have to leave you here...?’’ Chad said as he pulled up in front of Easton's house and turned to his side to face me.

We set out from Illinois at seven o’clock in the morning, and we arrived at Manhattan at eleven with almost four hours of travel. Someone took care of our transportation from the airport, and I later found out that it was Chad's assistant. I was unaware that he was also managing a company here, but was not quite as successful as Easton's.

His assistant brought the car for him to use, because he’s going to see his parents in Albany after dropping me off at Easton's place. He claimed that it had been three years since he was able to visit his mom and dad.

It's time for us to go our separate ways here, and I can already tell that I'm going to miss having him around. I already counted him among my most trusted companions.
