FELICIA's P O V
‘‘Mommy, come on let’s play!’’ Once we were inside the bedroom, Kenny grabbed hold of my hand and began to pull me down to sit on the carpeted floor. Even though it was already past five o’clock in the afternoon, he insisted on playing, which made me a little aggravated; yet, I knew that I shouldn't feel this way about my son.
‘‘All right, come on...’’ I slouched to the floor in an Indian sitting position and patted the area beside me. ‘‘Would you like to play with your car for a while?’’
As he sat next to me and imitated the way I sat, I couldn't help but giggle at how adorable he was. But he shook his head, indicating that he didn’t want to play with the toy car.
‘‘Why don't we do it with Spider-Man, your friendly neighborhood?!!’’ I exclaimed with a smile on my face while taking his Spider-Man toy from its box and waving it in front of him, but he continued to shake his head.
