Chapter 54 THE FATHER

FELICIA's P O V

It has been five days since Marcus placed me under house arrest, and I am starting to believe that I am going insane. Marcus was not there when I got up in the morning, but he had already prepared breakfast for me. Later that day, when he returned home, I was already asleep, and I was aware that he was doing this on purpose.

One time, I had kept myself awake and not gone to sleep, waiting for him to arrive home from work, and he was taken aback when he saw me sitting in the living room.

‘‘Why are you still awake?’’ he asked me a question with a stern tone, but there was no hint of anger in his voice, and I thought that it was a positive indicator to talk to him about my phone. I have to get in touch with Gellie about work, and of course with Albert. I would be needing the phone to call him, and ask him about the paternity test.
