“You should be slowing down now.” I waved to the bartender and soon he came for my service.
“Whiskey, please…” I ordered and nodding his head, he enthusiastically made my glass and placed it in front of me.
Taking my seat, I tilted my head towards Amy, who hadn't spoken to me, yet and to fill me with more rage, she deliberately gulped down another glass of wine without a pause.
BOOM
“Another one…” She demanded and I frowned.
“You might slow this down, Amy…” Keeping my hand over hers, I tried to make her acknowledge me.
“Mr. Shepherd, I am free to drink how much I want…” She batted her lashes with fake respect for me as she skillfully pulled her hand out from under mine.

It seemed like her one look had taken away all the anger from inside me.
“Yes, you are, but don’t forget a scandal could be a big disadvantage as you have just started your career…”
