AMY POV :
TICK …
The clock struck 3 and I sighed in worry, a whole hour has passed since I texted Derek.
He missed breakfast, and so did the lunch, he disappeared like a ghost.
I don’t know if my decision made him displeased or is it just work, but I am getting bothered by his disappearance.
He must have informed me before leaving.
CLICK
The door of my house unlocked and I held my breath in dread.
Who could that be?
Before I would stand on my ground, the sight of the man appeared and I let out my breath with ease.
“Where have you been?”
I questioned impulsively, and immediately shut my lips when I realized I am showing too evident concern for Derek which I shouldn’t have.
Not so fast !!
“Work…” Derek spoke in a dull tone.
Maybe he’s tired.
I didn’t dwell on the subject and started to prepare the table for him.
“Go, and freshen up, I have cooked lunch for you.”
I told him, my voice remained void of emotion, and he obeyed without making any argument.
