Chapter 31 HER BOYFRIEND?

TRAVIS’ P O V

When Joe got home from Dad's house, I noticed that he was acting strangely. He appeared disturbed as he sat in front of the grand piano, inexpertly playing an out-of-tune piece of music.

‘‘Hey, hey! Will you stop playing that? It’s ruining my eardrum…’’ I whined, waving a hand at him. ‘‘Is that how your piano teacher teaches you? I'm just wasting my money then...’’

‘‘No!’’ He pouted, giving me a sideway glance, his arms folded across his chest. ‘‘Miss Kat is an excellent teacher. Miss Pia even applauded and complimented me on my performance!’’

‘‘Then what are you doing?’’ I asked, my gaze fixed on his sharp one. Miss Pia had already told me how good my son was, and I was so excited to see and hear him play, and it would be amazing if he’d do it with Katrina, but here he was messing with the music. Nevertheless, I’m still very proud of him. I knew something was just bothering him.
