‘‘Watch out!’’ I heard Cohen shout, but I was frozen on my spot, and the next thing I knew, I was being hurled to the ground with a deafening impact. My vision was blurry, and for a split second, I thought I heard a sound that was abnormal because all I could hear in my ears was my own heart beating faster and faster.

My vision was hazy, but I could make out that there were people approaching in my direction. I also saw someone swiftly get out of the car, but I couldn't make out the person’s face as he drew closer to me. I had to blink my eyes a few times to get my vision back, and after a while, my hearing also started to come back to normal.

‘‘Katrina…’’ I heard someone whispered behind me at last, and my eyes widened when I felt two arms wrap around me.
