KATRINA'S P O V
The car came to a stop in front of my apartment, but neither Travis nor I made any attempt to move. Even though we were obviously going to spend some time together after this, I still didn't want to get out of the car. It was like my heart didn't want to be away from him just yet.
‘‘All right, then...'' I began, but my words came out more like a squeak, and I immediately flushed. ‘‘Goodnight, Travis…’’ When I turned to look at him, he had not moved his gaze from the road in front of us, and his hands were still on the steering wheel.
I retreated and grabbed the door handle, but Travis pulled my arm and gave me a passionate kiss on the lips before I could open the door. I leaned in closer to his touch, our lips moving against each other.
Yeah, right. I completely forgot that I couldn’t just walk away before the goodbye kiss, could I?
