KATRINA’S P O V
While I was inside the taxi, I received a message from Travis, reminding me of our dinner later.
Shit! I almost forgot about it.
I replied a short, ''Okay…’’ before shoving back my phone in my purse, and turning my attention to the scene outside the window. Even though the rain had already stopped, the road was still wet and slippery, so the cab had to go more slowly in order to avoid an accident.
Unfortunately, there was already an accident on the next street, and as a result,it caused traffic, so it took me a little longer to get to Sylvia's house.
I arrived at my destination after almost an hour, and as soon as I entered the gate, I looked in the garage to see if Cohen’s car was there. I sighed in relief when I didn’t see it. This only meant that my suspicion was wrong. There was no attempt on Sylvia's part to get us back together.
''Katrina…’’ Sylvia met me with a warm hug as soon as I stepped into the living room. ''I thought you’re not coming anymore…’’
