KATRINA’S P O V
''Miss Kat!'' Joe exclaimed happily, spreading his tiny arms wide, and hugging me by the waist as soon as he got closer to me. ''I’ve missed you…''
''I’ve missed you too, Joe…'' I quickly bent down and laid a gentle kiss on his hair, before pulling him back in a tight embrace. The feeling of Joe being held in my arms felt like home. Joe was like a breath of fresh air for me, while his father was like the sustenance I needed to keep living. There was no doubt that I needed them both in my life right now.
The two-day vacation I had in Travis’ house made me tremendously clear up my mind. I was happy with him alone there, but I knew that can’t always be the case. We cannot escape the problem I have right now by hiding in that place. I have to face what and who has to be faced. And solve this problem once and for all. I was just hoping that the opportunity would be in my favor this time.
