KATRINA’S P O V
After I paid the driver, I quickly got out of the cab, and began making my way towards the structure while keeping my fists locked tightly at my sides, narrowed eyes directed towards the entrance. I could feel eyes on me, following my every move; but, I chose to ignore them as I entered the elevator and hit the button for the floor where I had worked previously.
I was relieved to be riding the elevator by myself, and while I waited for it to stop, I took some time to examine my appearance in the mirrors that lined the walls. I was wearing a simple black dress without sleeves, and my entire body was trembling because I was anxious about what was about to happen next. My lower lip was shaking, which caused my face to seem pale, so I bit it to stop it from trembling.
