‘‘I don’t want to do this anymore!’’ I smacked the mask Tim was handing me, causing it to fall out of his grip and land on the ground. ‘‘I’ll return your money tomorrow morning…’’

I spun on my heels, but I was stopped by Tim’s firm grip around my arm. ‘‘Don’t you want to first check on the contract you signed before you quit? Maybe, after you read it, you’ll change your mind…’’

‘‘I won’t…’’ I responded, lifting my chin confidently.

‘‘Really…?’’ he chuckled. ‘‘Read it again, Naya. I insist…’’

‘‘No!’’ I exclaimed, but Tim had already dragged me towards his office, and once we stepped inside, he released me with a push, and then proceeded to amble towards his desk, grabbing the documents that I had signed earlier.

‘‘There!’’ he trudged back towards me, and threw the papers on my face. ‘‘You’ve just signed a shark loan contract. You’re so stupid for not reading it first before signing. How could you trust me with such ease, huh?’’
