"This energy is..."
The expression on Raven's face changed as she was teaching her students. Ever since cutting ties with her father, Trigon, she hadn't felt such an overwhelming surge of energy.
Looking at the curious eyes of her students in the classroom, Raven suppressed her shock and quickly put down the teaching materials in her hand.
"That's it for today's lesson. I expect you all to come prepared with your study materials for the next class."
As Raven spoke, the students, though unsure of what was happening, began packing up their textbooks. Meanwhile, Raven strode out of the classroom and headed straight to the rooftop of the school.
Pushing open the iron door, she found a blonde woman already standing there.
"Raven, you felt it too?"
Hearing the noise behind her, the White Queen, Emma Frost, didn't need to turn around to know who had arrived.
"Yes, Professor. That energy is far too powerful, and it's definitely not from an ordinary individual. It's hard to imagine such a presence still exists in the Wasteland." Raven frowned. "Should we report this to the Alliance or have the Overseers intervene?"
Sensing Raven's slight urgency, Emma Frost smiled faintly.
"You're right that such a presence shouldn't exist in the Wasteland. So, who do you think could wield such godlike power?"
"You mean..." Raven's mind immediately flashed to a particular figure.
The lack of magic in the Wasteland was no secret, and Raven could feel it herself. For someone to command such vast magical energy here, the possibilities were slim—either an outsider or one specific individual.
"If it's him, then we probably don't need to worry too much. Still, it would've been nice if Alex had given us a heads-up before causing such a commotion."
Emma Frost chuckled, her gaze fixed on the distant horizon.
"I'm more curious about what Alex is planning to do right now."

Meanwhile, at the London Sanctum...
Agatha was napping on a plush sofa beside a warm fireplace.
Ever since breaking free from Baron Mordo's control, Agatha had been traveling across the Wasteland. When the political landscape shifted and Lex Luthor became the supreme leader with the help of the Justice League, she decided to lend her support.
Agatha knew that the world she once knew had changed drastically. To secure a better future for herself, she had to adapt.
Taking on the role of the Guardian of the London Sanctum was the biggest change she had made.
Initially, she had scoffed at such a job, but she understood who now ruled the Wasteland. Demonstrating her usefulness during the most challenging times was key to ensuring her own comfort later on.
The situation was manageable for now. Though the London Sanctum had fallen into disrepair, rebuilding connections wouldn't be too difficult with sufficient resources.
Doctor Doom had already laid the groundwork long ago, and Agatha was merely capitalizing on it.
The only downside was the lack of magical energy circulating in the Wasteland. The only thing keeping the Sanctum operational was the efforts of the three Sanctum Guardians.
As Agatha dozed off, the cat in her arms suddenly let out a sharp cry, its fur standing on end like a feather duster.
Agatha immediately sensed something, her eyes snapping open as she instinctively looked out the window.
"Dimensional intrusion!?"
She was startled at first but quickly regained her composure.
"No... That immense energy doesn't seem hostile. And its source is..."
Realizing something, Agatha sprang to her feet and hurriedly ran to the main hall of the Sanctum.
The three Sanctums were interconnected by a special network of teleportation arrays. These arrays weren't just for constructing defensive magical circuits; they also allowed the other Sanctums to provide rapid support if one was under attack.
Locating the source of the energy, Agatha quickly pinpointed its origin.
"The Hong Kong Sanctum? With that young man who inherited the power of the gods watching over it, there shouldn't be any problems."
Standing at the teleportation array that linked the Sanctums, Agatha didn't rush through. Instead, she carefully cast several defensive spells on herself before cautiously sensing the overwhelming magical energy emanating from the other side.
Having lived for so many years, Agatha's experience was unmatched. She understood her responsibilities well—if the Hong Kong Sanctum was truly under attack, it was all the more reason for her not to abandon her post.
If she left, the London Sanctum would be left completely unguarded.
London wasn't like New York. Raven could afford to work as a professor at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters because the New York Sanctum was located right next to the Alliance Tower and was undergoing reconstruction.
If anything tried to attack the New York Sanctum, it would face a joint assault from the Justice League and the Avengers. However, amidst Agatha's cautiousness, a strange sense of confusion also stirred within her.
Because, in her perception, the enormous surge of magical energy didn't seem aimed at launching an attack. Instead, it appeared to be forcefully tearing through—or rather, constructing—something.
The target wasn't Earth, nor the physical dimension. Rather, it was directed at some unknown realm, channeling an immense amount of magical energy into it.
"What on earth is..."
Agatha furrowed her brows, a sense of familiarity creeping into her thoughts. It felt as though she had seen something like this before, yet the memory lay buried deep within her mind due to the passage of time.
Lost in thought, a sudden thunderous realization struck her consciousness. Her eyes widened as she finally understood the purpose of this energy surge.
"...Someone is attempting to establish a connection between this reality and another dimension!?"
No wonder her first reaction had been that of a dimensional invasion. The scene before her was uncannily similar to the dimensional lords breaching the physical plane in her memories.
The only difference now was that instead of outsiders trying to break in, it was someone inside trying to break out.
As a native sorceress of the Wasteland Universe, Agatha was acutely aware of the immense impact magical dimensions had on the physical world.
Ever since the magical dimensions had been exiled by those powerful supervillains, the world's magical energy had steadily declined. Like Baron Mordo, Agatha herself deeply wished to bring magic back to this world.
If anyone in this world harbored a burning desire to reclaim those magical dimensions, Agatha would undoubtedly be at the forefront.
However, she also understood that accomplishing such a feat was far beyond her individual capabilities. That was why she had taken the initiative to serve as the Guardian of the London Sanctum, hoping that once stability returned to the Wasteland, she could find a way to open new magical dimensions.
Her plan had been to combine the power of the three supreme sanctums. And, if possible, to include the assistance of Raven, Shazam, and other extraordinary individuals. Perhaps then, they could artificially create a new magical dimension.
But never in her wildest dreams had she imagined someone else would take the initiative to act before her—and, evidently, to go even further by attempting to directly open a pathway and bring back the exiled magical dimensions.
Agatha had previously entertained such a notion herself, only to dismiss it, knowing how unfathomably difficult it would be.
No one knew where the magical dimensions had been banished. To locate and retrieve them was an endeavor well beyond her reach.
This thought only deepened Agatha's puzzlement.
If even she couldn't accomplish such a task, who was behind this audacious attempt?
A certain figure, one who had once forged the Eye of the Watcher, slowly emerged in her mind. Goosebumps rose on Agatha's skin.
It was him. It had to be him. There was no doubt about it!
Aside from that man, Agatha couldn't imagine anyone else capable of pulling off such a feat of unimaginable magnitude.
As she pieced this together, an even greater surge of magical energy erupted from the portal, triggering an automatic reaction within the London Sanctum. The entire sanctum became enveloped in magic, radiating a golden brilliance.
"The magic circuits activated automatically?"
Agatha looked up in surprise at the sanctum's dome. There, countless magical runes, glowing with vibrant light, were rapidly forming.
"In that case... I'll lend you a hand."
Muttering to herself, Agatha extended her hands, unleashing a surge of purple magic from her body. The energy flowed upward, merging into the sanctum's dome.
While the finer intricacies of such work were beyond Agatha's abilities, she could still assist Alex by sharing a portion of his burden with her own magical power.
In that moment, the three supreme sanctums of Earth erupted with incredible magical energy. Even the unmanned New York Sanctum was drawn into the fray, forming a massive vortex of energy.
Frightened construction workers ran out of the sanctum in a panic, fearing that the eerie glowing building was on the verge of a catastrophic explosion.
These workers, sent by the Alliance to oversee the sanctum's reconstruction, had been forewarned by Alex. Thanks to his advance notice, they had prepared for this moment.
Though the New York Sanctum had not yet been fully rebuilt, its ancient magical circuits remained intact—a testament to the contributions of Dr. Doom.
Meanwhile, in the basement of the Hong Kong Sanctum, Alex was fully engrossed in a grueling tug-of-war.
Achieving a dimensional breach wasn't particularly difficult. All it required was immense power to tear open the spatial fissure and direct energy through it.
However, creating a stable pathway was a different story altogether. The Rock of Eternity served as an anchor, but Alex needed to pour in a tremendous amount of energy to carve the path.
It was painstaking work, but it would be worth it.
The mere thought of soon being able to visit those magical dimensions filled Alex with renewed determination!
