547. The Amazing Twins!

"Alex!?"

Seeing who had entered, Tony Stark was momentarily stunned but then greeted him enthusiastically.

"Is everything done on your side? Opening up a special dimension isn't easy, right? The disturbance you caused in the Temple even made the House of Mystery pick it up."

"It's taken care of, thanks to Agatha's help. All I did was establish a transit station between the real world and the quantum realm. It's not that complicated," Alex looked a bit exhausted but his mental state was still very good.

If anyone was truly exhausted, it was definitely Shazam. Even though he was just supporting the Eternium, the pressure he bore when Alex infused magical energy into it while in direct contact with the metal was unimaginable.

It could be said that Shazam was bearing the energy that could tear space apart while supporting the Eternium. If the magical energy had been aimed at Shazam, his survival would have been in question.

On the wasteland now, there were perhaps only people like Clark, Kara, Thor, and Shazam who could withstand such terrifying pressure.

After a brief pause, Alex turned to Reed Richards and Susan. "How's it going here? How much longer until it's ready for use?"

Upon hearing this, Reed Richards quickened his work and responded.

"Almost done, just need... three..."

"Three hours?" Alex tilted his head, confused.

Before he could react, Reed continued.

"Two..."

"One, done!"

With that, Reed Richards finished connecting the last wire and pressed the control panel.

As he did, the exterior patterns of the train engine flashed with a ghostly blue light. The light quickly moved along the lines, converging at the metal connection points before disappearing.

"Technically, we could have finished this faster, but we don't know much about space, so for stability and safety, we had to take our time on the Hogwarts Express," Reed explained.

"Hogwarts Express," Tony Stark reminded, then turned to Alex. "I named it."

"Right, we integrated a lot of emerging technologies into the Hogwarts Express," Reed continued. "Aside from the redesigned core from the time sledge, we also implemented space isolation technology and magical runes."

"It's magical runes," Tony added, then smiled at Alex. "I cast the spell."

Listening to Reed and Tony's back-and-forth, Alex nodded slightly.

"It really is... impressive."

He wasn't particularly familiar with these matters, so he didn't know what to say at first. In the end, he could only muster a compliment.

"Do you need any special requirements or suggestions? I can always make modifications," Reed Richards pushed his glasses up and said earnestly.

"Uh, you've done a great job already. I'm not sure if anything needs changing. What I want to know now is, when can this train be put to use?" Alex asked.

"Anytime," Reed Richards answered immediately. After a pause, he patted the surface of the train engine.

"Although we didn't install the space radar before, it doesn't matter. Tony has already tested it over a hundred times using the space turbulence outside the House of Mystery. The exterior layer, which combines vibranium and Eternium, has good resistance against spatial disruptions.

Adding in the external shock absorption system and magical runes has greatly increased its durability. As long as you want, this thing can be put to work anytime."

"Good. Let's get ready to depart," Alex nodded and didn't say more.

"In such a hurry?" Tony asked, noticing how rushed Alex was.

"Isn't it? I've been planning to do this for a long time. I just had to deal with your universe's mess first before continuing with this," Alex said with a wry smile.

"True," Tony nodded, not saying much more.

After all, if it hadn't been for Alex, he wouldn't even be standing here right now.

Seeing that the device was fully constructed, Alex didn't waste any time. He raised his hand and stored it into his magical space.

"By the way, Alex," Tony called out as Alex was about to leave.

"What's up?" Alex paused.

"Uh... that..."

Tony Stark suddenly wasn't sure how to start.

"Just say it, Tony," Alex smiled and walked over to him. "We're all on the same team. There's nothing you can't say."

"Well, I've been a little bored here. I heard you gave Kara and Pietro a mission, something about going to another universe to trade supplies...?"

"You want to go too?" Alex quickly figured out what Tony was thinking.

"If you don't mind, then..."

"Of course, I was actually wondering if it might be too troublesome for you, considering you've either been brewing wine or helping Emma regain her youth recently. Now you're helping develop the dimensional travel device too, so I thought you might need a good rest," Alex replied, tilting his head.

"But if you want to see that world, you can go with Pietro and the others. Having you with them will make me feel a bit more at ease, though you should be careful—it's very different from our world," Alex added.

"Don't worry, I've got it under control!" Tony Stark chuckled and gave Alex a confident look.

"Alright then."

Alex glanced at Tony, who appeared eager. Though slightly uneasy, he didn't think much more of it and turned to leave the laboratory.

After all, Tony Stark had his own powers, and even if something happened on his side, Alex would immediately receive information. So, he was okay with letting him go.

Walking all the way to the Overseer Hall, Alex selected the location of the Hong Kong Temple from the labels at the door and pulled it open to return to the basement of the Hong Kong Temple.

This door was actually the passage for the Overseer members to enter the wasteland universe. However, since Alex had always had Miss Minutes open portals, this was the first time he used this method himself.

In the basement, Billy Batson was gasping, staring at the masterpiece before him. The Rock of Eternity had been completely fixed above the Yin-Yang Fish, standing like a stalactite or an inverted pyramid on the ceiling.

The energy within the Rock of Eternity connected the real world and the quantum realm, forming a small independent dimension.

A purple portal rose from the floor. Billy turned his head and saw Alex quickly walking in. A smile appeared on his face.

"So fast, it's already done?"

"Of course, the time flow in the House of Mystery and the wasteland universe are different," Alex casually explained, then waved his hand. A train engine appeared in the passage at the edge.

Billy stared at the odd-looking engine, speechless for a long time.

"This is the dimensional travel device you mentioned?"

"Ahem, since this is the first time, I figured making a train engine was a good start," Alex said awkwardly, though he wasn't too bothered. It wasn't a sightseeing trip to another dimension, after all; there was no need to make a whole bunch of train cars right now.

"Alright, as long as you're sure this thing works."

Billy shrugged. Alex didn't say anything more, so Billy didn't mind either. But then he suddenly remembered something and asked.

"By the way, is it just the two of us going to the other dimensions, or do we need to call more people?"

"Don't worry, I've already contacted some people."

Alex knew they were about to face an unknown world, so for safety and the purpose of the mission, he had contacted some friends to join in on the adventure.

As soon as Alex finished speaking, a purple portal immediately opened, and two small figures quickly ran out, waving at Alex and Billy.

"Hello!"

Seeing the two blonde kids, Billy froze. He then mechanically turned his head and looked at Alex. "Bro, you know this isn't a summer camp, right? Why did you bring two kids along?"

"Billy, don't underestimate them. These two are my special technical consultants," Alex said with a smile, knowing what Billy was thinking.

"Technical consultants?" Billy gaped. "Them?"

"You seem to be looking down on us," the shorter boy said, frowning. A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes.

Billy felt a chill run down his spine. Though it was only for a moment, he was sure he had felt a brush with death. He even instinctively wanted to call out for Shazam.

Just then, the girl behind the boy placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Alright, Franklin, we should show some respect for our seniors. After all, they're the ones who've preserved this hard-earned peace, right?"

Billy swallowed hard and reined in his disdain, quietly shaking his head. In the past, he had used his childlike appearance to deceive others, but it seemed the younger generation was even more impressive than the older one.

Seeing that both sides had greeted each other, Alex chuckled and placed his arm around Billy Batson's shoulder, introducing them.

"These are the psychic prodigy, Franklin Richards, and the genius, Valeria Richards—children of Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. Don't underestimate them; these two are just as capable as their parents."

Billy, who was now eyeing the two smaller kids, forced a smile.

"Well, uh, I'm Billy Batson."
