After chatting with James for a while, Alex finally left this world—a world that could only be described as miraculous.
Yes, "miracle" was the only word that fit.
Transcending material form, born from pure concept, this dimension had emerged from high-level contamination, and yet remained unsullied by it. A place that defied logic and corruption—a place that could only be called... Gensokyo, a true "Land of Fantasy."
(So this world... it truly belongs to you, my Lord.)
Miss Minutes's voice echoed gently in Alex's mind. She sounded particularly pleased.
'Strictly speaking, not exactly. I'm bound to this world, yes, but I don't control it. Same goes for The Fulcrum. Like James said—this is a truly free world. It exists beyond the influence of any external force.'
Alex's lips curled into a relaxed smile as he stretched his arms above his head.
'If anything, I guess I'm more like… the landlord here.'
(Congratulations, my Lord. You've claimed yet another unique dimension. Even the cosmic supremes can't reach this one. At this rate, you're practically a divine-tier existence!)
'Oh, stop it.' Alex chuckled and shook his head. Miss Minutes really had a knack for flattery, but Alex knew better. He was just a human, after all. "Supreme Being" was a title so far above his head, it might as well have been in another universe. But just as that thought ended, Alex's smile began to fade.
Miss Minutes noticed the change in his mood. She paused for a moment, and then gently spoke again.
(Is my Lord still troubled… by the Dark Watchers?)
'Yeah.'
Alex's eyes narrowed slightly, his expression darkening as a flicker of unease crossed his face.
That final line—the one uttered by the Dark Watcher before being sealed away—kept echoing in his mind. It felt like a sword hanging over his head… and the heads of everyone he cared about.
"Every world you've touched… will be erased."
Even Alex, with all his calm and confidence, couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart at the weight of that threat.
It was true—Alex's current power level was nothing like before. He was no longer someone any ordinary cosmic being could casually mess with. Even if beings like Darkseid or Galactus came knocking, Alex had full confidence he could send them back packing… or worse.
But that strength was his alone.
His friends, his family—they didn't have that same level of protection. If the Dark Watchers really decided to strike from the shadows, targeting the people he cared about…
(You needn't worry, my Lord. Without the support of the Fulcrum's energy, those Dark Watchers no longer have the strength to threaten Wasteland. With Franklin Richards guarding it, they can't even get close.)
'I know that… but there's just something that keeps bothering me.'
Alex's brow furrowed slightly, his gaze sharpening with suspicion.
(What is it?)
Miss Minutes's voice sounded again, this time more cautious.
Alex paused, searching for the right words, then slowly responded: 'The Dark Watcher said… every universe I've touched will be erased. But—'
'That's the part I can't figure out. I've visited my share of alternate universes, sure, but it's not like I've crossed into thousands. They can't touch this main Marvel universe anymore—not with Doctor Doom, the Sorcerers, and the Avengers watching. They can't get to the Wasteland either. Franklin's power alone is enough to stop them cold. The Boys universe is out of their reach. As for the Dark Multiverse? It's a joke to even suggest they could influence anything there.'
'So then… where can they go?'
(Ah…)
For once, Miss Minutes was left speechless.
The Marvel Zombies universe was already completely wiped out—besides, that domain was under the constant surveillance of the Watcher. As for Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, part of it had been personally resolved by Alex, while the rest had fragmented off into newborn realities drifting toward the Prime Universe. Unless the Dark Watchers had a death wish, they'd never dare to approach that kind of unstable cosmic energy.
So then… what exactly was their target?
Surely they weren't planning to crash the Apokolips War universe and join Trigon, Galactus, and Darkseid in a cosmic poker match?
But just as that absurd thought passed through Alex's mind, his expression froze.
"Wait a second..."
(My Lord? Did something occur to you?)
Miss Minutes immediately focused in, her tone sharp with concern.
"The Watchers from the Marvel Universe shouldn't be able to breach into other realities. The high-dimensional barriers are far too complex—even they can't break through them. But what if… I opened the path myself, using the contamination within me?"
Miss Minutes gasped in realization.
(You mean… Flashpoint Universe One?)
"Exactly!"
Alex's fist clenched instinctively.
"They couldn't reach the DC Multiverse before. But now, with the interdimensional treaties and trade I helped forge between the Wasteland Universe and Flashpoint-1, both timelines are synchronized—and I was the one who opened the portal! If they follow that route and have enough power… they can enter that universe!"
Recalling the carefully orchestrated plan between the Wasteland and Flashpoint realities, Alex's jaw tightened.
"Kara… Pietro..."
"No. I need to get back—now."
Without another second of hesitation, Alex turned on his heel and stormed out of the medical wing.
The others—already waiting outside—quickly gathered around him. Leading the way was Polaris, her expression full of hopeful urgency. She looked up at Alex, silently begging for good news. After all, if anyone could bring Logan back, it was him.
Even Strange and Doom had admitted they were out of options. That said everything about how dire Logan's condition truly was.
"Mr. Alex… is there still hope?" Polaris asked quietly.
Alex took a breath and calmed his rising panic. He nodded gently, then exhaled a sigh.
"Don't worry. Logan's fine. He's just… in another world now."
"What?"
Everyone froze, their expressions stunned. To them, that sounded no different than a poetic way of saying Logan was dead.
Alex realized the misunderstanding immediately and quickly clarified.
"No, no. I meant that literally. Logan's physical body is still here, but his soul… it's already crossed over. Let's just say, he's in a better place—and he's happy."
"I see…" Polaris murmured softly. Now she understood why Alex had stood so long by Logan's bedside in silence.
"Anyway, you all don't need to worry about Logan's condition anymore," Alex said in a low voice.
"Wait a minute," Blink suddenly asked, looking at Logan's unmoving body in the medical bay. "If Logan's already left this world for another… then what should we do with his body? I mean, he's still technically alive."
Her question stilled the room.
Logan's body still held a flicker of life—like a comatose patient clinging to a final breath. But Alex had made it clear: James Howlett wasn't coming back. So… what were they supposed to do with what remained?
"Burn it," Alex said flatly. "Or bury it somewhere no one will ever find. I don't want anyone—especially a certain bony necromancer—getting their hands on that body."
Everyone present nodded in agreement. The Weapon X program wasn't something to be taken lightly. If someone with bad intentions got ahold of Logan's enhanced remains, it would be a ticking time bomb.
"Then we'll do as Mr. Alex suggested," said Captain America after a moment's thought. "Cremate the body—and forge a statue from the adamantium in his bones. A memorial for Logan."
No one objected. Even Deadpool, usually the loudest in the room, stood quietly and solemnly watched Logan's still form through the glass.
With the last issue resolved, Alex turned to Dean and Sam.
"Gentlemen, it's time we left."
"So soon?" Dean blinked. They'd been living on a knife's edge since arriving and hadn't even had a chance to properly rest.
"The threat from the Dark Watchers isn't over," Alex said gravely. "I'm worried they've already set their sights on the Wasteland."
He didn't go into details, but Dean and Sam understood. They had fought side by side with Wasteland heroes. If their allies were in danger, there was no way the brothers could sit this out.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Dean said, glancing at Sam before turning back to Alex. "Let's move."
"We can help too," Polaris stepped forward alongside Blink. They didn't know the full picture, but from Alex's expression and the Winchesters' urgency, it was clearly serious.
"And us as well," said Captain America as he stepped forward, the Avengers behind him.
Seeing all these heroes eager to help warmed Alex's heart. But after a moment's thought, he shook his head.
"This isn't something that can be solved easily. And the Wasteland… it's further than you think—far beyond your reach. Besides, your world's only just started healing. You've got responsibilities here. Thank you all… but I'll handle this one."
With that, Alex gestured. A golden ripple tore through the air as Miss Minutes opened a portal leading straight to the House of Mystery.
He turned back to Dean and Sam.
"Let's go, gentlemen."
No further words were exchanged. Dean and Sam gave the others a wave, then stepped through the portal beside Alex.
The heroes stayed silent, simply watching as the three men—who had just saved their universe—disappeared through the swirling gateway. For a moment, the hospital corridor fell into heavy silence.
And then, of course, Deadpool couldn't help himself.
"I'm just saying… Alex has way more of a Qidian protagonist vibe. What the hell was he doing on Webnovel anyway?"
