Right now, Mirayuki and I are deep inside my mind, standing in a digital reconstruction of my nightmare—an artificial world created by Sapphire, built from the memories of that horrific vision.
The scene is exactly as it was revealed to me: an endless void of pitch-black darkness, with the ground slick and saturated with blood.
Even now, I can't discern where this location might be. Is it a physical place? A battlefield? Or are we inside some kind of barrier conjured by the demon? That seems plausible. However, a more likely explanation is that this memory isn't entirely complete. After all, memory isn't a perfect recording—it's filtered through the emotions of the person experiencing it. And when someone is under extreme stress, their field of vision narrows, their senses dull, and they focus only on what matters most.
And what mattered most in that moment… was death.
