Chapter 6: Day 3

(The day begins with Zack logging into Windwaker Odyssey)

(As Nightwalker spawns into the kingdom, he remembers the events of the previous day and how that mysterious player took out a beastman in a second and without lifting a finger)

{That guy. Taking out an entire beastman like it's nothing. That feat is nothing short of scary. If I do end up fighting that monster I should watch myself, although truth be told if I fight him I don't think I'll win, no matter how many tricks I can pull out of my sleave}

(Whilst continuing he ends up coming across Starfield shopping for some equipment)

Hey Starfield how are you?

Oh it's Nightwalker, just the guy I wanted to see. I've got good good news, I'm in the semi-finals.

What!? That doesn't make sense you lost yesterday didn't you so how are you in the semi-finals. No offense by the way.

None taken and that's a long story. You see it started when you left yesterday when the fourth match was about to begin Trojan stopped the match. Afterwards he approached the two contenders and inspected them for a while. After the inspiration he disqualified both of the fighters.

Well why would he go and do that.

Well it turns out that the two fighters were part of the same group, so one of the fighters was throw the match allowing his comrade to proceed without so much as lifting a finger.

What! Those cheaters, what part of tournament don't they understand. Making someone proceed without them earning it in glorious battle defeats the whole purpose of the tournament.

I know right? Anyways Trojan was not pleased so he instantly destroyed the two players. After that display Trojan turned to the audience and apologized for all that was displayed. After dealing with all the rule breaking he then announced that the two losers meaning me and that Hikari elf girl would fight for a place in the semi-finals.

That's pretty cool and since you just told me that you're in the semi-finals I'm guessing that you won.

Yep sure did, although I'm not gonna lie it was one tough battle. Hikari gave me such a tough battle that we ended up being friends afterwards.

I'm guessing that you make friends with everyone you fight.

Hehe it's a curse I guess.

(While they were talking Hikari approached them)

Oh hey Hikari this is my friend Nightwalker.

Nightwalker huh, wait are you the guy that fought Starfield here yesterday.

Yep that's him, come on man say hi.

Hello there it's nice to meet you. Looks like you were a spectator in our match, ironically enough I was a spectator in your match as well. Truth be told I wished you had won against that bastard Black Blade.

Heh me too. From the looks of it, it seems you two have some beef.

Oh definitely, that douchebag insulted me deeply the first time we met. So I wanna teach him not to look down on others.

I can agree with you on that but as much of a douchebag as he is he's pretty strong. Our battle showed me that he's not to be taken lightly. He's very boastful and has a reason to be unlike many others. All that aside if you end up fighting him today, just know that you have my support.

If that's the case then consider the butt kicking I'll be handing him in your honor.

Hmhm you're quite the charmer aren't you? Well if you're making such promises then losing is not an option otherwise for you is it?

No it's not and don't worry, I'm someone who always keeps their promise.

Hey you two the tournament is about to begin so cut the chatter and let's hustle.

(The three then head to the tournament battle grounds. Upon arriving Hikari heads up to the grandstand whilst wishing Nightwalker and Starfield good luck. The two then head to the center and wait until the tournament begins)

(Trojan then arrives and begins an announcement)

Hello everybody hope everyone's having a good time. I know yesterday we all saw some pretty disgusting acts but let's let go of all that and start the show. Welcome contestants to the semi-finals of the ranking tournament, to all those that made it here I hope you've prepared yourselves well because it's gonna be a rough ride. Unlike yesterday we aren't going to decide fights via ballet balls we are instead going to allow you to choose your opponents and when you would like to fight. So come on let us see some of the rivalries that has built up these past three days.

(Nightwalker and Starfield begin discussing)

Nightwalker I'd like to fight you again but you have an issue to settle with the other guy and you made a promise to Hikari so good luck to you and let's meet in the finals okay.

Heh thanks Starfield that means you'll be fighting that mysterious player. I don't doubt your strength but you should watch yourself, that guy is pretty dangerous so make sure not to hold back.

Don't worry I won't take him lightly, you forget that I also saw him in action or part action rather. Anyways don't lose alright.

Never.

(The two then separate and Nightwalker begins approaching Black Blade)

Well well well if it isn't Mr clueless himself, not gonna I'm surprised you even came to me. I thought you'd too chicken to challenge me, guess I was wrong so I'll give you points on that one.

Still running that mouth of yours huh? Well that'll change by the end of this match so we should really stop talking and let our fists carry the conversation.

Eager to lose huh? Very well.

Excuse me Mr Trojan.

Yes contestant Nightwalker.

We would like our battle to be first.

Alright then as long as the other fighters have no issues. Do you contestants Starfield and Hades.

No problem at all.

Hmph.

All right then contestant Nightwalker your match versus contestant Black Blade will begin first.

(Trojan then sends Starfield and Hades away and officially begins the match)

(When the match begins Nightwalker and Black Blade stare deeply into each other, in the next moment the both of them attack)

(Whilst attacking Nightwalker gets in a few good hits but they're ineffective)

What's wrong loser, is your sword not doing any damage. My scales are way more tough than that piece of garbage you call a weapon. Let me show you what a real attack looks like.

(Black Blade then comes charging in and lands a solid on Nightwalker. Nightwalker lost twenty percent of his HP from that one attack)

Bastard. {Dammit he deals way too much damage any more of those and this fight is finished. I've got to make sure I dodge all his attacks from now}

(Black Blade continues his onslaught of attacks each attack stronger and faster than the last. Nightwalker starts to counter and dodge all attacks)

Why are you staying on the defensive Nightwalker, I thought you said you were going to defeat me.

Don't underestimate me. {Dodging and countering is all well and good but how do I turn this around, my sword does close to no damage in regards to his scales}

(Black Blade launches another attack but Nightwalker jumps dodging the attack. Whilst in the air he looks at Black Blade from behind. He then notices an area on Black Blade's back that has no scales)

(After landing Nightwalker swiftly attacks Black Blade's back right on the spot with little scaling. The attack does some damage)

Why you piece of trash!

Hah take that, looks like I've found your weak spot. {Sweet I've found a weakness to exploit, but now that it's known, he's not gonna let me get to it easily}

It seems like I've been too lenient on you, it's time to unleash my ultimate attack.

{Dammit he's going activate that aura zone thing}

(Black Blade unleashes all of his aura and it covers the entire ring, he then smiles menacingly as he begins punching the air. The attacks affect Nightwalker leaving him with less than fourty percent of HP)

{This isn't good. This aura zone is really doing me in, the fact that it's unblockable makes it almost impossible to resist. I'll use my clone ring to get close to him}

(Using his ring Nightwalker makes a clone. He then starts attacking simultaneously along side the clone. The movement of the two Nightwalkers slightly disorientes Black Blade)

(Black Blade starts attacking the air once more. One Nightwalker takes damage but it was the cloned, the real Nightwalker jumps back)

{Wait a minute, when he attacked the air it only affected the clone and at the time he was focused on the clone. That means that even though he can attack from anywhere in the aura zone, he can only attack the target he's focused on. That gives me an idea}

(Black Blade begins attack again and damages Nightwalker till less than ten percent of his HP remained)

{This is bad I'm almost dead, I need to distract him in order to implement my plan, that's it}

(Nightwalker throws a projectile, Black Blade dodges it and as he looks back he sees two Nightwalkers)

Another clone trick, that's not gonna work.

Oh yeah well wait till I unleash my ultimate move. Killer Instinct!

(The two Nightwalkers attack Black Blade, after a while he gets annoyed and delivers a devastating blow to both of them. Afterwards they both vanish)

What they were both clones, then where's the real one.

(Suddenly Black Blade receives a massive blow to the open area on his back, immediately defeating him)

What how is this possible, how did you do it?

Simple while you were still busy fighting my clones I just used my stealth armor to quietly sneak in behind you and delivered my ultimate attack.

You bastard, you tricked me.

Nope you tricked yourself into thinking you were the best in the game. I hope this loss will teach you a lesson in respect.

(Trojan announces Nightwalker as the winner)

(After the fight, Nightwalker meets up with Starfield)

Oh my gosh Nightwalker that was amazing, you turned that battle upside-down.

Heh thanks. I'm just happy I've taught that guy a lesson. So you're up next huh?

Yep looks like it. Although I'm not sure I can win, that Hades dude is strong, too strong.

Cut it out with the negative attitude just go out there and give it your best. {Hate to say but she's right. Hades just has too much of an advantage, he's barely shown his power but Starfield showed everything she had in our battle}

(Nightwalker heads to the grandstand while Starfield heads into the ring. He then finds Hikari and sits next to her)

Hey there mister winner. Looks like you kept your promise of winning.

Yeah, it wasn't easy though.

I'll bet. Anyways we'll talk more about after Starfield's fight.

(The fight between Starfield and Hades begins)

(As the battle begins, Starfield activates her Instant Regeneration and goes on the attack)

Taking out your trump card this early in the game, that's a very unwise decision.

Why hide I mean you've already seen haven't you?

(As she attacks her HP is drastically going down and up as she regenerates meanwhile Hades hasn't moved an inch. He's taking all the hits but they're ineffective against him. One of the attacks manges to damage Hades)

Hmm you actually damaged me, it seems I underestimated you.

(Hades then stops Starfield's attack and launches a punch. The punch immediately defeats her ending the fight instantly)

(Trojan then announces Hades as the winner)

(After the battle Nightwalker and Hikari go to Starfield)

Starfield are you okay?

That punch knocked me out instantly haha. You were right Nightwalker he's really dangerous.

Yeah. I was astonished by the power he display.

(The three of them then head out of the battleground and Nightwalker bids farewell to them before logging off)

(After logging off Zack heads to sleep)
