In a cave far away from Assai resided a beast. A monster, that kept growing and growing, but in Aranai, this wasn't given any priority. Several people have seen Chiron die and almost no one took Elbaf's search warrant for him seriously.
They all thought someone just threw his corpse into sewage out of spite and Chiron had decayed there, as no one remembered the terror he brought 5 months ago. How could they? For most he was just another awakened they couldn't defeat. Only the truly strong, who had experienced his monstrosity could understand the terror of Chiron and all those were either dead or not in a position to voice their opinions.
And now the monster was given the most time ever to grow and develop! He spent a month recovering, going through physical therapy with "Sean". In other words, he spent 10 months recovering from the abysmal state he was in, into a healthy body.
Sean had cut away most of his already withered muscles, but through the sheer miraculous memory called assassin's rags Chiron had managed to soak his ascended bandages into good herbal remedies and managed to use his left hand to fix all the inconveniences in his limbs.
His muscles had been reduced to 10% of what he used to have and his height was permanent locked in, as the only way to grow is through breaking his bones and resetting them, which he wouldn't have the patience to do.
His height was stuck at 3 feet and his muscles were nothing worth even mentioning... But Chiron couldn't help but laugh when he inspected his body and an interesting fact hit him.
*This body feels just like home! Muscles malnourished to the point of barely being able to support them skeleton, barely functioning sensory organs, legs thinner than some people's fingers. Now THIS is truly MY body! This body is no longer Chiron's, it is Shangrinn's!*
His laughter rang out in the cave, as he celebrated this setback. He felt nothing but joy when he saw his reflection in an Echo's armour. This simplistic recovery took Chiron a month of his time, but his willpower wasn't so weak as to stay a cripple.
After the 1 month of recovery, he left the cave at his original body's height of 3'4". No longer was he a fat old man with a beer belly. He was the human example of peak performance! A man, with muscles bigger than himself. If he fought Elbaf now, even without using impatient, the outcome wouldn't be so black and white, as his newfound body was the pinnacle of combat!
While his towering height was abolished, what remained of his skeletal structure was pure durability and a combat skeleton! It was forged through, what was for him, years of combat! But it wasn't only he who had grown.
Echo: [Sean].
Echo Type: monster.
Echo Core: dormant.
Echo Attributes: [Humane], [Spearman+], [Dormant], {Spear Of The Wanted}
Echo Description: [A talented young man, who was thrown at an unbreakable pillar, which he would call brother and tend to soon after, by the people he swore to protect previously, just to see if the pillar would crack eventually.]
Sean had "taken" his special charm, which he didn't understand how it even happened. He had wanted to test what would happen if he equiped his Human echos with a memory and he handed another memory to the previous talented recruit and he equiped the sword, but nothing appeared next to his Spearman attribute and nothing changed at all.
Chiron tried countless other memories, even a spear weapon, but he couldn't understand what to do with those things and no change happened. He considered taking said pin needle back, but decided against it. Considering what would happen if he did successfully take it back and turned him into a common soldierly or, even worse, damaged his precious echo.... No! He couldn't risk it!
An Echo that could change, such a thing was only something Sunny could do with the weaver's and his own divine powers and Chiron wasn't about to let such a good echo go to waste! He cherished it and spoke to it often, as if it was a human with a soul, rather than an Echo and it seemed... Happier? Chiron couldn't understand Sean
After a while, the Echo took up the name Sean and, even though it couldn't talk, Chiron understood that fact and it eventually reflected on its status as well.
*You were good, Sean, but now it is time to go back to civilization! I know what I must do! The end goal must probably be either Elbaf or the general I met in the war room. Either way, both are going to die by my blade! They are ascended I am confident I can kill and I can't ignore a potential ascended memory. A simple long piece of bandages allowed me to recover from total physiological collapse to my PEAK performance in a span of 10 months! If I could get even 1 more, especially a weapon or armour type, I would be more than just unstoppable!*
*Plus, this body of Mine is almost perfect for my abilities. I can tortured it to infinity, as it isn't my own and waste as much lifespan as I want. Actually, wouldn't it be more optimal to go on a wide scale genocide? I have gotten a momory from the beasts my soldiers killed. I have an untiring Legion of 20 dormant soldiers and equipment I can deck them out in, along with myself and I am basically unlikable. Hehe, my nightmare has ended! Prepare yourself, Elbaf, your nightmare is only beginning!*
Chiron scrawled through his memories and parsed around all the ones he would consider "decent", but they weren't for him! He had a total of 44 armour memories, 8 were copper chest plates, 7 were copper chainmail, 7 were copper grieves, 8 were copper helmets and 13 were leather gloves and there was only a single copper buckler.
With these equipment, Sean was fully decked out in the most durable copper combo, a copper chainmail, with a copper plate male on top, and copper chainmail bottom with a long copper pike and a hoplite buckler and a pair of cow leather gloves. He was more well equiped then the rest of Chiron's "army". The rest had their attribute specific weapon and mismatched pieces of armour, some had only weapons, those were the echos with only a two attributes, conscious and weapon:type.
All in all, the top 7 echos were fully decked out in armour, but no one complained, as this was most optimal. What's the point in helping the weaker echos? If they "die", then they will be summoned back into Chiron's soul sea and recover and he will be able to use them once again outside this simulation, so there was no risk, only an ever expanding legion.
And after testing, no echo could equip a charm, besides Sean. The rest couldn't even use the passive effects of the charms. Even the equipment was only "on top" of them, they hadn't truly equiped it, including Sean.
"Men! I am Chiron! I am your general! We. Have. Been. SLIGHTED! Your general was SLIGHTED! I was used as nothing more than a TOOL! A training tool, a DUMMY! Am I a dummy?!"
The echoes shook their heads from side to side. "CORRECT! I am CHIRON, the unbroken! Men, have I ever been broken?!" The echoes nodded up and down, indicating yes "correct again! MEN! Can we allow such a blemish in history to continue existing?!"
The echoes once again shook their heads and said no. "Correct as always! Now, we MARCH! And we march to make history RIGHT! Men! FORWARD!"
And the groups of echoes marched out of the cave, equipped and ready! *Your death warrant has been signed, my dear Elbaf!*
