Chapter 25: The Missed Birthday

After the infusion, my diarrhea finally stopped. Thinking about my fiery bum, I felt quite upset. I staggered out of the hospital, feeling as if my body had been hollowed out.

As I passed by a young couple, the boy seemed to have missed the girl's birthday, and she was huffing with anger. The boy was constantly coaxing her, even making a funny face, until she finally couldn't help but laugh.

Watching their pleasant interaction, I was reminded of the forlorn look in Zheng Yufei's eyes as she left home this morning. Although Yufei and I were a couple by agreement, we got along without problems—in fact, Yufei had helped me out a lot.
