Princess Geng leaned against the cushion atop the couch, clad in a thin cotton robe of bamboo green, shrouded by blankets, her brow adorned with a headscarf of the same color. Though her complexion was rosy, one could see that her spirits were somewhat diminished, her vigor waning.
Yet, she was a resolute person, capable of maintaining composure. Having abruptly lost her child and well aware that someone had schemed against her, she did not too egregiously lose her bearing.
"I offer my respects to Princess Geng. How does Your Highness feel? Are you feeling any better?" Ye Zao bowed in reverence.
"Sister, please have a seat. In my condition, I wasn't able to welcome you properly." Princess Geng stretched out her hand, gesturing with urgency.
Ye Zao stood up, thought for a moment, and then sat beside her on the couch: "Nothing matters more than one's health, and it's the same for confinement after birth. You must take care of your health above all else."
