Gu Jiangnian was, in some respects, a victim of his family's misfortune. His parents went through emotional roller coasters and dramatic financial ups and downs, resulting in the complete disassembly of a once perfect family.
And the instigator of it all was "love."
The root cause was also "love."
Love could disregard human relations.
Lack of love could hurt.
Gu Jiangnian came from such an environment, and Yu Se thought he would learn his lesson and be cautious when it came to marriage and love. But he wasn't.
He did as he pleased. He didn't learn from the unhappiness of his parents' marriage. On the contrary, he forced a girl.
He pressured and schemed with her to join him.
Yu Se found Gu Jiangnian's despicable actions downright contemptible.
She called him a beast, and he well deserved the name.
"Talking about pressure, discussing walking side by side, they are just excuses he conjured up to deceive the world," Yu Se's words were forceful, stunning Yu Jiang into silence.
