The upper echelons of the banquet all looked over at Wen Mu with suspicion.
"No need," she said, picking up the wine glass before her, tilting her head back, and downing it in one go!
"You all, come one by one."
Having said that, Wen Mu poured herself another glass of red wine, raised her glass to the stunned onlookers, and once again drank it down.
The precious wine was being consumed as if it were water.
The crowd was speechless for quite a while, completely unsure whether Director Wen could actually hold her liquor or not, and even less able to understand why, when the president was present, she kept declining to drink?
Somebody needed to show some respect after all, so one person approached and clinked glasses.
"What a drinker, Director Wen!"
"Here's to you... "
...
As glasses were being raised and toasts made, Han Luoli felt unbearably restless in the night breeze.
Some memories, like floodgates opened, kept burrowing into his mind, unstoppable.
