SEBASTIAN

This was something he really wasn't used to despite all the years he had lived in this mansion.

Probably, he thought but when the curtain was drawn he stood up to get the perfect view of how the sunlight graced the flower garden below with its warmth, how the green leaves on the sycamore tree glinted with the morning dew. And he thought; 'Yeah, I'm never getting used to this.' With a chuckle, he made his way into the bathroom to get ready for the day's event.

Sebastian Harper was what you call a chameleon. Twenty-five years old, tall-broadly built and blessed with the face of an innocent child, but underneath that mask was the real him.

[And trust me, you don't wanna trigger his crazy side.]

Dressed in a blue tuxedo, his jet-black hair was styled to the back. His shoe shone with its dark polish. Finally, he wore his watch and then carried his iPad.

"Yeah, this is what I'm talking about." He said to his reflection in the mirror with a proud smirk.

He took one last look at his already perfect form and then sauntered downstairs leisurely like he had all the time in the world.

[About to be made the CEO of Orbit, I'm sure he believed he did.]

"Good morning, Sir." The head maid, Olga greeted.

"Good morning, Olga." He replied, his sharp gaze fixed on the iPad.

"Since you didn't have breakfast, Sir, I believe some strawberries would help you for the morning?" Olga asked, stretching the bowl of strawberry to him.

Sebastian grinned as he took one. "Just what I need." He closed his eyes savoring the taste of the juicy fruit.

If there was one thing he liked, it was strawberry. He took more from Ogla and saw his secretary coming towards him.

"Good morning, Sir." His secretary Lucas greeted him as he climbed the porch stairs to meet him.

"Lucas, finally you're here." Having the two strawberries in his hand, Sebastian put them into the office bag he carried.

"Nervous?" Lucas asked the both of them made their way to the white limousine.

"Nope," Sebastian replied, an air of confidence surrounding him.

It made Lucas wonder if this guy could really feel it. With such a big event coming up, he would have peed in his pants or worse have a bad stomach day.

They both entered the car and the driver brought the car to life before driving off to the company.

It would be a great event today at the Orbit company. Today is the tenth year anniversary of the company and on this day as the Chairman of Orbit had announced, Sebastian Harper would be made CEO of Orbit.

It was a joyous occasion but not for some people.

A few minutes later the car came to a stop at the company and immediately the reporters saw or maybe heard the sound of his car, they all gathered around the limousine as each one wanted to be the first to get a good scope from the young billionaire.

The guards were each dressed in a black suit and dark glasses with a communication device in their ear. They took position near Sebastian, making sure to shield him from the hands of the hungry reporters.

The designer label ORBIT was elegantly placed at the top of the tall blue-glass skyscraper that stood before them.

As both Sebastian and Lucas made their way down the hallway followed by the bodyguards, they conversed.

"Sir, you must be careful today, we don't know what might happen," Lucas said.

"Relax, Lucas." Sebastian chided but Lucas was adamant.

"I'm serious. I mean, you've been getting death threats for the past three weeks now." His voice dropped to a low tone as though the walls could hear him.

Sebastian stopped, his gaze long and hard as he stared ahead as if the answers to the problem were out there. He regained his composure and gave Lucas one of his best smiles.

"I'll be fine." He said simply and continued walking.

Lucas sighed and hurried after him. "You should tell him." He suggested after a long silence.

"The old man?" Sebastian quizzed and chuckled.

"Seriously, he has to know," Lucas said again, his tone was obviously pleading with him.

"I'll handle it myself, Lucas. My old man should not be disturbed." Sebastian replied. He shoved his hand into his bag and brought out a strawberry which he took into his mouth, and began to chew.

"Sir.."

"Thanks for your concern, Lucas. But I will be fine. End of discussion." Sebastian cut in.

Lucas bit on his lip to stop himself from saying anything further. He nodded and replied, "Yes, Sir."

Sebastian gave him a pat on his back. "We have other things to worry about," Sebastian muttered.

"Like what?" Lucas asked with a brow raised.

They finally came to a stop at the big door which led to the hall where the anniversary party was being held.

"Like conquering whatever is behind that door." Sebastian pointed at the door as though he was warning it.

"You're talking about the second lady aren't you?" Lucas asked and Sebastian nodded.

"That woman keeps bugging me." Sebastian stood as Lucas arranged his suit.

"Why didn't you wear a tie?" Lucas frowned, noticing his boss's dress.

"I'm not in the 90s, okay? This is fashion." Sebastian replied.

"It's a sign of..."

"A sign of formality blah blah blah..." Sebastian cut in.

They both stared at each other and laughed. It was cut short when someone patted them on their backs and they both turned to see Marcelo, Sebastian's cousin.

"Hey dude. You made it." Sebastian gave him a hug.

"I wouldn't miss your coronation for the world." Marcelo smiled and Sebastian rolled his eyes.

"I won't call it a coronation. More like sitting on a thrown of work." Sebastian grimaced, his face turned sour like he'd just eaten something bitter.

They all laughed.

"And also, why aren't you wearing a tie?" Marcelo demanded also noticing it and Lucas shot Sebastian an 'I told you look.'

Sebastian pouted. "What's so special about a tie?"

"It represents..."

"If you're going to say formalities then swallow it 'cause I don't wanna hear it." Sebastian interrupted.

Marcelo looked at Lucas. Lucas shrugged.

"I tried." He said.

"Now my beloved," Sebastian was saying.

"Don't let Clarissa hear you say that to us." Marcelo joked.

"Now my comrades. It is time." Sebastian said dramatically.

Both Lucas and Marcelo stood behind him as he took in a deep breath before the doorman held the door open to let them in.

The hall was literally glowing with the lights emacating from the fancy chandeliers. Individuals, each of high class and status were engaged in chatting, a soft music was played in the background and waiters and waitresses moved about ready to be of service to anyone around.

"Wow. Sebastian uttered

"Oh Sebastian. There you are. A gruff voice sounded

It was none other than Mr. George Harper, founder of Orbit and also Sebastian's dad.

"Sup old man. Sebastian greeted with a smile

"This is not a place for you to show your swagger young man. Harper said

"Sorry. Sebastian said but he wasn't.

"Come. Let me introduce you to my friends. Harper guided him to their table were a bunch of men were seated. They all smelt of money, you could clearly see it in the rings or wristwatch or the suits they were wearing.

"Everyone. Meet my son Sebastian. Harper introduced proudly.

"It's nice to meet you all. Sebastian bowed, a sign of respect.

"A fine piece you got there.

"Handsome really. He takes after you.

Laughter followed. Sebastian only smiled, a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"I'm sure your father made the right choice to make you the CEO of Orbit. One said

"My father is too kind. Sebastian nodded in reply

"Charming young man. Harper patted his back.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please be seated as we call on the founder of Orbit... That was the MC

"Ohh I think it's time. Harper dropped his glass of champagne and adjusted his nicely ironed suit.

".... Please welcome Mr. George Harper. The MC concluded and a round of applause followed as Harper made his way to the podium.

The wrinkles on the side of his face stood out as he smiled and waved at the audience. As soon as he climbed the podium and took the mic, the applause died down, waiters and waitresses stopped moving and silence reigned

"Distinguished ladies and gentlemen. It is an honour to have you Grace us with your presence on this joyous occasion. Harper started and an applause followed which died down almost immediately.

"Building Orbit was not an easy task. It was hard for me but I still forged ahead because I had a goal. Harper took in a deep breath as he continued

"Back then, the only person who stood by me was my wife, First Lady of Orbit, Lady Maria. She was my strength and guidance..

Sebastian's jaw clenched as he listened

"... I'm sure she would be happy to know that Orbit has risen to the top. Harper said

"And today, the tenth anniversary of Orbit. Ten years since Orbit was built and I will be passing down this legacy to my one and only son. Sebastian Harper. Harper said gesturing to Sebastian who stood up.

The hall was once again filled with the applause of the guests as Sebastian made his way to the podium were he shook hands with Harper and stood beside him. The clapping died down.

"He will be the one to carry out this legacy that I have built. Harper stated and faced Sebastian.

"Son. He called "the podium is all yours. He said and stood aside

Sebastian stood with a glass of champagne in his right hand.

"Let's make a toast. He said and the guests stood up, each with a glass of wine or champagne.

Sebastian raised his slightly, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"To Orbit. He said

"To Orbit. All he guests chorused in one voice.

"And.... Suspense followed as he looked around.

"To making money.
