As I was thinking, I noticed that the download had finished. I grabbed the USB drive and realized that the information on the computer was dangerous. I decided to destroy the computer and began to look for something to do it with.
Then, I noticed a familiar-looking crystal on the desk—I picked it up, and started examining it I soon realized that it was the crystal that formed the fortress of solitude.
This discovery opened up new possibilities, so I picked the crystal, put it in my pocket, and headed towards the door.
I was about to exit the room when I heard what sounded like footsteps. As soon as I discovered I wasn't alone, I hurriedly hid behind the desk.
After hearing what the footsteps sounded like. I listened to them for a little bit but, I soon knew they didn't sound human; they were way too heavy to be human, so I decided to try to see if I could see through the walls.
I focused all of my attention on my eyes, and after a few seconds, I began to see through the wall. What I saw frightened me: a creature stood just outside the room I was in.
The creature stood upright on two powerful legs, and its scaly body gave it a distinctly reptilian appearance.
So I immediately decided to hide, knowing I didn't have any kind of weapon. Crouching beneath the computer desk, I listened to the footsteps that gradually approached.
It climbed on top of the desk. The desk creaked under the weight of the creature. it sat there for a couple of seconds before it began sniffing the air and looking around. It looked at the computer for a couple of seconds.
I remember I left it on, and as I was looking at it, it let out a screech. That's when I realized it was intelligent.
"Uh-oh, this isn't good. It's not going to leave; it probably already knows I'm here," I thought to myself, a frown forming on my face. It did something that terrified me.
It jumped off the desk, looked beneath it, and peered directly at me. That's when I realized I needed to do something, so I mustered all of my strength and struck the creature directly in the head.
It started to jump around and destroy everything in the room, including the computer. realizing I didn't need to destroy the computer, I took this opportunity to run.
I ran straight towards the door, I tried to close the door but I realized it would surely catch me if I did so I just continued to run.
'I can't just keep running. I need to find a weapon to kill it.' While I was thinking about it, I remembered the pistol in the locker. So I shifted my path to the room it was in.
I looked behind me and spotted it getting closer. I began sprinting faster as I realized the room was coming closer.
As I moved closer to the room. As soon as I reached the door, I entered the room and hurried to the locker. I quickly shifted through the locker and eventually found the pistol.
I swiftly retrieved it from the locker, ensuring to grab the weapon magazines as well. Confirming it was loaded, I spun around, aiming at the source of the approaching sound. As soon as the creature came into view, I opened fire.
The pistol emitted some sort of energy, shredding through the creature with each shot.
The energy blasts pierced straight through the creature, leaving holes scattered across its body. With its form now riddled with wounds, the creature began to flee.
As soon as the creature began to flee, I pivoted and headed in the opposite direction, determined to leave the laboratory behind.
Recalling my earlier exploration of the lab, I made my way toward the area where I believed the exit to be located.
I reached for the door and cautiously turned the handle, pushing it open. As soon as I opened it. The sunlight blasted my eyes.
My heart was pounding as I stepped out into the sunlight after emerging from the laboratory. The rays of the sun seemed to strengthen every part of my body.
I started looking around. And I noticed there was a range of mountains that encircled me, their summits creating shadows. And there was a forest at the foot of the mountain
The quiet beauty of the surroundings offered a brief break from the chase, and even if my heart was still racing.
The discovery of the fortress of solitude raced through my head as I stood outside the laboratory, enjoying the sunshine. Its discovery presented more opportunities for myself
With this incredible discovery, I understood that my journey had only begun and that the crystal's capabilities held the key to exploring previously unexplored regions and making discoveries.
I decided I needed to find a place to place the crystal. With the crystal of the fortress of solitude in hand, I felt a sense of purpose driving me forward. Surveying the sprawling mountain range before me, my eyes eventually found themselves on the forest down below.
The massive forest held the potential for a hidden sanctuary, a place where the fortress could be placed.
As I scanned the forest, memories of the creature lurking in the laboratory flooded my mind, reminding me of the danger that this unknown place posed.
Pausing my search for the crystal's new resting place, a sense of urgency gripped me.
With my heart rate rising, I realized the need to leave this area behind; the creature would eventually find me.
With a sense of urgency, I began my descent down the mountain range heading toward the forest I saw at the foot of the mountain, each step carrying me away from the looming danger of the laboratory.
With every step down the mountain, I remained vigilant for any hint of danger lurking in the area.
I soon found myself at the entrance to the forest. As I was approaching the forest I heard a sound behind me, I hurriedly turned around looking for the source of the sound...
