"...Maybe so, but it's too late, time to evacuate," the officer could only sigh, "Incendiary bombs will be dropped in three minutes."
The line went dead, and the special forces looked at each other in dismay.
Yet, suddenly, the captain took a step forward and said to the zombies, "If you can understand me, stand up!!"
Kaka was the first to stand up, holding the little girl in his arms.
Then all the zombies stood up in unison.
"Good! Follow us!!" the captain shouted, turning back, "Protect them! Leave the area before the incendiary bombs arrive!!"
"Yes!!!"
A miraculous scene unfolded as zombies and humans ran together towards the dark entrance of the building.
Kaka, carrying the little girl as if leaping through an asylum, burst out with all his might.
Hiss—
The scene shifted, and he found himself outside in the bright sunshine, with no one else around except the little girl in his arms.
Kaka smiled slightly, then looked down and said, "So it was you, sweetheart."
