Chapter 421: Capturing the New York State Governor

"As a senatorial candidate, this treatment could cost me a lot of support. I need to make a statement to the media first, is that alright?"

Stevenson shifted his gaze away from David and turned to speak to the FBI agent.

The lead agent looked at David, and upon seeing no objection from him, he nodded, "Alright, Mr. Stevenson, you have five minutes."

Stevenson immediately approached the media and began, "Hello everyone, I am Stevenson, candidate for Senator of New York State. Regarding this FBI subpoena investigation..."

During the next few minutes, Stevenson painted the picture that his being taken away was merely a routine inquiry, that he had not been involved in any criminal activities, and he urged his supporters not to believe any other rumors, trying to salvage his image as much as possible.

The five minutes passed quickly, and seeing the FBI agent approach, Stevenson had to halt his speech. He glared at David one last time before getting into the FBI vehicle and leaving.
