"Fuck!"
He Sai was holding the Desert Eagle, wanting to shoot but afraid of missing.
That less than a tenth of a second seemed to last an eternity; he trembled nervously, his palm sweaty from gripping the Desert Eagle, fear surging in his heart.
It wasn't the battle he feared.
It was fearing the little girl would die.
He Sai didn't know why, but ever since he picked up those boots in the ruins, he felt like he had betrayed a very pure good intention, his heart filled with guilt.
As he hesitated, Captain Gates pounced forward, wrapped his arms around the freakish woman, and rolled several times in the sandy soil, throughout them exchanging savage elbows and punches.
"Go! Move fast!"
Captain Gates bellowed.
His shout snapped He Sai out of it; he rushed forward and embraced the little girl, only to realize that her stillness wasn't from being scared stiff.
Rather one of her eyes was blinded, pain rendering her unresponsive.
