Chapter 366 (Part 2) City of Chaos

"Drip-drop, drip-drop, drip-drop..."

Loud police siren wails echoed through the skies above the block.

Before Wei Reporter left, a police blockade had surrounded the Central Garden Hotel. About a dozen police cars were parked in a row along the street, nearby roads had been cleared, and the entire block was under temporary lockdown, with only a few controlled checkpoints allowing pedestrians, drivers, and those inside the shops to pass in batches.

As the crowds dispersed, the originally surging tide of people finally calmed down.

Near the checkpoints, many who had run out from inside did not immediately leave, and additional onlookers gathered from other areas to watch the excitement. Some stood on tiptoe, looking in the direction of the hotel, while others whispered to each other, spitting as they spoke, with faces still showing their unsettled horror, sharing accounts of what they had just witnessed.
