"You should know that the troops just destroyed by Poet's bizarre combat unit were from dozens of cities in the Utopia Federation, a whole ninth of the Spacecraft Carrier fleet," said Sun Jack, his face turning pale. "But such scale means nothing in front of Poet's mechanical units."
Poet wasn't bragging before. It could truly wipe out all of humanity if it wanted to!
Seeing Sun Jack's expression worsening, Tapai spoke from the side, "I think we should consider solutions from the network side. I'm currently leading the Network Security Department in counter-hacking Poet's control systems. If we succeed, all these will be my Tapai's meat chickens,"
Sun Jack looked at it with a complex expression. "Really? Are Poet's control systems that easy to break into? If that were the case, Lan Meng wouldn't have sat down to negotiate with Poet during the Previous Era."
"Damn it, I'm not Lan Meng; I'm an AI. Traitors are best at causing destruction from within. Why not place a bet? If I really hack it, will you kneel and kowtow to me?" Tapai retorted discontentedly.
Sun Jack glanced at her, took a deep breath, and replied, "I'm really annoyed right now, don't have time for this nonsense, although I'm skeptical, I'll grant you the access. Use whatever people and resources you want within the Federation, but understand one thing—don't get controlled by Poet in reverse."
"OK. I understand. It can't control me, I'm now a genuine person, of flesh and blood. If it could have controlled me, it would have already made the whole world commit suicide long ago."
Facing the current predicament, Sun Jack couldn't afford to deal with his foolish talk anymore.
"Damn it, how many combat units has Poet silently produced underground over these years!" Sun Jack angrily contacted San Jiao.
Since his fleet was not up to par, he could only hope now that Third Class had some strength. With 1000 years of preparation, hopefully, they had a way to counter Poet.
Should Third Class have no solution, humanity might truly be on its countdown to extinction.
The communication was quickly connected, facing the triangular head, Sun Jack straightforwardly said, "I saw the entire fleet I dispatched got annihilated."
San Jiao appeared especially calm, "We've received the news, so you need to quickly replenish the lost fleet. Every battle zone needs people to take charge; only then can we control the situation."
Hearing this, Sun Jack immediately grew furious, venting his anger, "Fuck! In this kind of situation now! Is it interesting to keep it from me? You want the fleet, right? Fine! But I need to know how the overall battle situation is right now! Every fleet has living, breathing humans on it!!"
San Jiao was silent for a moment before replying, "Although the G22 area situation is grim, rest assured, it's not easy for Omega 31 to destroy us; everything is within our plans."
As he spoke, he switched to a visual in front of Sun Jack. It seemed to be underground. The visuals were not actual images but lines that continuously appeared and disappeared.
"This is an image simulated by high-frequency sensors. The image's location is deep underground. When the rock layer's density reaches a certain level, it will display a certain fluid state. Our detectors, matching in density, are currently spread throughout the rock layer, flowing, seeking the exact location of Omega 31. Once we find it, victory will be ours."
Seeing this, Sun Jack was speechless, "Earth, such a vast place, by the time we find it, we'll already be dead!"
"Actually, it won't come to that. We have Plan 8, ready to deter Omega from launching a full-scale attack on the surface."
"Plan 8?" Sun Jack's mind popped up with a question mark.
Following that, San Jiao sent another communication code to Sun Jack. When Sun Jack accessed it, he was surprised to find it connected to the old network's Cyber Space.
One should know that this type of old network could be invaded by Poet at any moment, having been completely disconnected long ago.
In a circular chat room formed of various useless data, Sun Jack saw the Third Class spokesperson, this time with a polygonal head, speaking with the visualized Poet, who was styled like a rock star, his left arm silver, frantically swaying his body with closed eyes.
Clearly, Third Class had the capability to block Poet's invasion.
"Omega, we know your power, we also know what you've hidden underground, but if you think those can solve us, then you're probably mistaken. You've prepared for 1000 years, and so have we. We've even calculated your technological trends and technological evolution levels," said the polygonal spokesperson confronting humanity's enemy.
Poet sighed, opened its eyes, and looked indifferent, "Talking to you people isn't as interesting as talking to Sun Jack. If you have a way, then use it against me, go ahead, I'm so scared, how many times have I told you, talking big is useless."
The polygonal didn't say anything but directly transferred some data.
"Take a look at this; after you do, you might be able to tell whether what we say is true or not."
Although Sun Jack didn't know what was transferred, judging from Poet's sudden serious expression, it seemed to be something very significant.
"Is this working?" Sun Jack felt hopeful when he saw this, knowing that after existing for so long, Third Class couldn't just be idling.
"You spent these 1000 years just researching this?" Poet asked with a weird expression.
But the polygonal shook its head, "No, we researched many things, but we found this to pose the greatest threat to you. If you really want to wage a full-scale war, seeming to initiate a human extinction war, then we will directly ignite the entire Earth through a nuclear fusion chain reaction. What I see, we now have this capability."
With that, the polygonal's tone turned gravely serious, "Humans have never feared death, nor formidable enemies. Even if we're not as strong as you, a human-less Earth itself has no meaning. If you dare touch us, we are ready to perish together with you!!"
When Sun Jack heard this echoing in his ears, both he and Tapai, sharing the visual, were left utterly astonished, not expecting Third Class's method of threatening Poet to be this.
After a two-second pause, an utterly shocked Tapai raised her right hand, tremblingly pointing at the prism.
"My God, Sun Jack, this guy is saying… this guy is saying all your words!!"
