Sun Jack opened his eyes and, lying on the tatami mat, quietly yet swiftly vacuumed it, vibrating at a high frequency to shake out the residues inside the tatami before swiftly sucking them up.
When he detected deeper dirt, Sun Jack's mechanical arms automatically switched to cleaning mode and, like a crab feasting, he rapidly cleaned in tandem with the mechanical mouth.
As a product of the Omega Company, it had already been upgraded. Not only could it levitate to clean walls and ceilings, but it also gained two extra mechanical arms.
All of its past records had been deleted by the parent company; it had long since forgotten what had happened, yet every time it saw the little girl, its operation would inexplicably be extended by 0.1 seconds.
Omega Company's software engineer had once noticed this but adhered to the principle that, as long as there was no bug affecting its normal functioning, one should never interfere with the program, and thus he didn't delve into finding a solution.
In fact, it had been updated for several decades, having passed through countless families. Whenever the usage time limit was reached, Omega Company would hold a trade-in event.
They would recycle Sun Jack, then upgrade the system again, and then relist it at a higher price.
It didn't matter if the core changed or not; with a cool new packaging and some heartwarming corporate stories, it would become the latest in technology.
After cleaning the room, Sun Jack proceeded according to the next steps and entered the living room by pushing the door open.
"Please let me marry your daughter!!" A slightly overweight man almost prostrated on the floor, yelled toward the two elderly parents kneeling before him.
Beside him, a woman in her twenties, who seemed anxious and scared, looked at her parents, while the boy, appearing to be only eleven or twelve, looked around at everyone's faces as if watching a play.
"Jian Tai, get out, this is not the place for you." With that, the stern-faced male host spoke, and the boy quickly nodded his head in respect and turned to leave.
On his way out, he didn't forget to call Sun Jack, who had started cleaning, to leave as well. "Lan Meng is gone; this place is not for you either."
Upon hearing his name called, Sun Jack stopped its cleaning duty, turned around, and followed the boy out. "By the way, go clean my room, especially under the bed."
"Command accepted; zone cleaning commences."
Upon reaching the room, Sun Jack cleaned up the tissues from under the bed while listening to its young master ramble.
"I don't think that guy is suitable to be my brother-in-law; he talks in such a slippery manner. I just don't like him. What do you think?"
After analyzing the keywords in the boy's speech, Sun Jack spoke.
"Restricted by company policy, I am sorry, but I cannot provide any constructive suggestions."
"Sigh, still the artificial idiot, huh? I've heard that robots from the Tapai Company have higher intelligence levels, and I wonder how they are. I heard their robots are even smarter than humans; I'm kind of looking forward to it."
Jian Tai went to the window, and as he lightly pressed a button, the curtains rose slowly, revealing the view of a vibrant blue planet in front.
Leaning against the window, he daydreamed while looking at the star above, "If my sister really gets married, they'll surely go to Earth for their honeymoon. How envious I am; I've never left the Moon in my entire life. I really want to go back and see what the Moon looks like."
As his gaze shifted, he saw the endless gray-white rocks and mountains through the protective shield in the distance.
"I'm so tired of this environment; I want to see forests, I want to go to the beach. Have you been to the beach? I heard it's fun by the seaside."
While he was nestled in his room dreaming of the future, suddenly a scream came from outside.
"What happened?" Just as Jian Tai prepared to run toward the sound, he heard his father's stern voice, "Stay in your room!" A visibly unsettled Jian Tai recoiled back into his room and didn't move.
Meanwhile, Sun Jack, under the bed, suddenly received a cleaning instruction. It slowly emerged from under the bed and flew toward the living room.
Upon arriving in the living room, it silently began cleaning up the still-warm blood on the floor. The blood kept flowing from the male host's broken vessel, and Sun Jack swiftly cleaned it up, no matter the amount—it was its mission.
Three people were in the room: the male host lying on the floor, the overweight man, and his girlfriend, while the former female host was nowhere to be seen.
"Slap!" The overweight man viciously slapped the woman's face, spitefully saying, "I committed murder for you! Your dad died because of you!"
The woman collapsed almost in hysteria, "No... I... I didn't ask you to kill him... I didn't ask you to kill..."
"Shut up! Now is not the time to talk about this!" The overweight man slapped his girlfriend again. "If you don't want to go to jail, do as I say!"
Almost panicking, the woman followed her boyfriend's orders and helped him drag her father's body into the storeroom. Sun Jack, according to instructions, followed behind cleaning the bloodstains.
After the body was stuffed into a box and concealed, the woman appeared to regain a bit of her senses and tearfully stammered to the overweight man, "Suzuki, I didn't ask you to kill him. I was just dissatisfied with his control over my life. I just wanted to break free from his control."
"Shut up!" The overweight man slapped her again, knocking her down staggered. "What's the use of saying this now? Think about how to deal with the situation!"
Suzuki sat cross-legged on the floor, thought for a moment, then looked at the woman before him, "Remember, you can't wash your hands of this. Don't forget, it was you and me who dealt with the body just now. I recorded everything; we are in the same boat now! If you don't want to go to jail, do as I say!"
The woman seemed dazed, still not quite recovered from the shock.
"I'm talking to you! Do you hear me?!" As the man suddenly raised his hand, the woman flinched with fright and quickly nodded.
Suzuki crouched in front of the woman, gently caressing her hair, softening his voice. "Muzi, leave everything to me, okay? As long as you do as I say, everything will get back on track, everything will return to normal. As long as you do as I say, I won't release the videos of you being gang-raped."
"Don't forget, a woman like you who has been used like that, no one else will want. Others will find you dirty, disgusting! It is I who accepted you despite your past, and now only I will have you, understand? Hmm?"
