Survivors of a catastrophe.

Helen woke with a start from her trance, her nose tingling, she buried her head in the embrace of the figure before her, venting her fear and excitement.

"I thought I might never see you again!"

"It's all right, it's all right..."

Luo En gently patted the girl's back, comforting her softly, then looked up towards the distant courtyard.

Dozens of commoners, both old and young, clutched kitchen utensils and farming tools they had picked up, standing tentatively at the open door, wishing to come out in groups to help.

"Did you save these people?" Luo En asked, shifting Helen's attention.

"Not really..." Helen replied softly, then realizing the situation was too public, hurriedly stood up from Luo En's arms, and said with a tinge of shyness, "I saw they had nowhere to go and it was dangerous outside, so I let them in to take shelter."

Suddenly, a look of trepidation appeared on the girl's face.
