"Boom!"
A red-black bony head crown with bull horns shattered in response, and the kilometer-tall humanoid monster made up of flames, magma, and dirt crumbled apart.
Luo En, holding the Magic Sword Leavateinn, stood amidst the sky of falling fire, watching the disintegrating Fire Giant King Surtr and the scattering army of Fire Giants, yet his face showed little joy.
Seven years.
It had been seven years since he led troops from Midgard to head to the Southern Realm to intercept the invasion of the Fire Giants.
During this prolonged seven years of war, he seized opportunities to slay Surtr more than a dozen times.
But each time after Surtr was killed, this Fire Giant King would only lie dormant for a time before being resurrected from the flames of Muspelheim, leading a huge revived force of Fire Giants to attack Midgard once again.
"Eternal Fire..."
Luo En murmured softly, looking up at Muspelheim, filled with sulfur, smoke, magma, and live volcanoes, his brow furrowed.
