Chapter 100: Need a Plan

"This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on whether we can solve the harm brought by the rat plague."

Standing before the dark passage in Grotto Village, Charles spoke what sounded like a truism.

The rat plague had seriously compromised the food production of Grotto Village; masses of mice had consumed too much of the moss and mushrooms, and there was little chance of restoring the normal output of moss and mushroom fields in the near future.

But the sheer number of rats had undoubtedly provided the villagers with an abundance of meat.

In a dark and humid place like Grotto Village, it was not easy to get to eat delicious meat, not even Rangers could guarantee that they'd catch snakes, rats, or various insects every day from the narrow caves.
