A quarter of the entire island on which Red Castle was situated belonged to the Fantastical Beast Park, which housed a large number of Phantom Beasts.

At its peak, there were no less than two hundred Phantom Beasts in the park.

Now, there were one hundred fifty Phantom Beasts in the park, all captured by the Knight Regiment organized by Red Castle from the wilderness jungle every year. Typically, after being held for about half a year, they would be sold and then contracted by Knights.

Very few Phantom Beasts were kept in the Fantastical Beast Park for more than three years.

Once such a Phantom Beast appeared, there were generally two outcomes. If the breed of the Phantom Beast was precious, it was likely that it would be released back into the forest to breed further; if the Phantom Beast was not precious enough, it would be slaughtered to obtain Phantom Beast materials.
