When the lights came on again Arthur opened his eyes to see himself a a place filled with people, he was still trying to get his bearings when someone appeared in his front with a spark of bright light.
Similar occurrence were seen happening around him, which signifies the arrival of players. The place he arrived at was the town center also known as the resurrection center. The place was getting crowded as more and more Players were arriving every seconds.

"Huff", Arthur closes his stats page with a blow of breath. His stats were just as he had expected, with his agility stats being the highest. That was unsurprising as assassins definitely boast having high agility in every game.
His strength stats were average and his luck being the Lowest.
That was the reason of his sigh, he had always been unlucky so, it was frustrating when even the game recognized it.
His equipment too were just the basic types given to every players at the beginning of the game. After his friend got him the gaming headset, he took his time to research about the game and discovered that the equipment in the game was divided into
Basic
Advanced
Rare
Extraordinary
Epic
Legendary
Godly/Divine
Having gotten his bearings, he heard from other players that he had been sent to one of the beginning village in the game known as the Greenville village in the continent known as the Atlass continent. Their world was known as Gods peak.
Arthur entered this game with the hope of making money to settle his family financial issues and repay his best friend generosity, so he had to plan his next steps carefully.
He looked around and noticed that the other players were already trooping out of the village to level up and with some already engaging the natives of the game also known as NPC
Non-player character, in discussion trying to see maybe if they will get some quest from them, and a with a significant number of players trooping to the village chief residence to seek quest from the village chief. The village chiefs are always a target for quest in any virtual games.
Arthur was thinking of going out of the village to level up and maybe collect some material to sell. He initially wanted to look for quest around in the village but decided against it as the population of the players were increasing.
He decided to go and purchase some potions to add to his stock before going out to level up. As he was looking for a shop in the town to purchase the potions, he discovered a hidden shop in one of the alleys and decided to explore it.
He entered the shop and saw a old man sitting at a table and with the noise coming from the old man it was clear he was having a nap. Arthur looked around and saw that the shop sold a few number of potions mostly comprising of poisons potions and some few unrecognizable potions too.
"Hello". Arthur called out to the old man.
The old man was startled awake and when he saw that there was someone in his shop, he rearranged his posture and fixed his eyes on the person in his front.
"ohh, hello adventurer from another world. Welcome to the Darkshade potions shop, we sell a lot of potions and of course we have some poisons on sale, which I would recommend as you are in the assassin occupation.
Arthur looked around him dubiously, although there were potions In the shop but they were just too few of them. But when he heard that there are some poisons he could purchase, he changed his plan of buying potions and decided to buy poisons instead.
"I want to buy poisons".
The old man happily smiled and pointed at one of the unrecognizable potions in the shop and said,
"That's wolfsbane poison, cost 10 coppers and that's bluedoom poison which cost 1 silver, so which one do you want to buy.
Arthur was shocked at the price of the poisons, he read that potions cost 3 coppers coins each and health potions cost 5 coppers, but just the price for a poison potion cost 10 coppers not to mention the ridiculous one that cost a whole silver coins to purchase.
As the game just began, no one in the entire game will have so much coins on hand yet, the coin exchange features has not yet been opened as the game developers said it would be opened in the next update of the game which might take place next week or even less depending on the game development.
He casted a scornful look at the old man and was thinking that the old man just want to cheat him with his overpriced potions.
But he decided to buy it anyway.
So he handed the coins over to the old man and said,
"I will buy the wolfsbane poison".
The old man beamed with joy and retrieved the poison and gave it to Arthur.
"Thank you adventurer from another world, although my potions are indeed costly but they are the best you will find in this village. But you seems like a nice young man, my supply of materials for crafting potions are almost finished and I need to resupply it, would you help me bring some material for crafting potions". The old man said to Arthur.
Arthur replied, "alright I would help you bring some materials".
Then he saw a notification on his game interface.
'Ding: Rare Quest accepted'
Quest Details: you have been asked by the master alchemist 'old man grey's to help him bring some materials for crafting potions.
Quest progress: wolfsbane flower 0/5, toadstool flower 0/3, helldoom flower 0/1
Quest rewards: alchemy subclass acquisition, Old man grey's potions legacy.
Arthur was shocked, apart from the quest being of the rare type, the ordinary looking old man in his front was A 'Master tier Alchemy master'.
Subclasses tier in The Chronicles of the Gods game was divided into:
Common
Intermediate
Advanced
Master
Grandmaster
Which means this old man was someone who was just a step from reaching the peak of the alchemy subclass, and the quest rewards were just too good. Alchemy was a good subclass, and with how costly poisons were it was a highly sought subclass for assassins.
Arthur happily stepped out of the almost empty shop with a smile on his hooded face, maybe his luck was not that bad after all. He ran towards the boundary of the village to enter the forest to complete his quest.
