Mourning Arrival

The msidaventures of Gunne and Jelly was chaotic. Gunne sense of direction for long journeys is erratic. So Jelly had to take the lead based on the small memories they shared with Tyr on the location of Castle Morne due to the chakra Tyr shared with them.

Eventually, the reach a hill that led to to a broken carriage and multiple bodies.

"Is somebody there?" The voice of a woman was picked up by Gunne.

Gunne and Jelly follow the voice to see a blonde haired woman sitting on a small fence of bricks. Her eyes were covered by a blindfold of sorts.

(Is she the one, M'lord speak of?) With his hand on his chest and a knee hitting the ground, he looked at the woman. "We, the servants of Tyr, the next Elden Lord have arrived."

"My name is Irina. I've escaped from Castle Morne, to the south. The servants there...have rebelled.

I-I can't be sure what it is; my eyesight's been weak since birth you see... But I swear I heard frightful howling from all over. My good father secreted me out the castle, but decided himself to stay.

He says it's his duty, as commander. I....I fear for father's life." She continued.

"The servants are full wroth. Filled with hatred for every one of us.

They've since come for every one of the companions I escaped with. They haven't spared a soul. I fear it's no different at Castle Morne... Please, I implore you. Would you mind taking a letter to my father, at the castle?" She asked politely.

(The situation sounds dire. And I am task with capturing Castle Morne so her father and I is an inevitable encounter. If she can persuade him to flee the territory then I may evade needless bloodshed.) Gunne thought.

"I shall deliver the letter to the best of my ability." He said confidently.

Irina's voice increased in frequency. Delighted at his acceptance of her request. "Thank you, dearly.

Then please, take this" She takes the letter out, handing it over to Gunne.

Gunne places it into his spiritual pocket. "Jelly, you will stay with Irina to ensure her safety as per M'Lord request. I will go to Castle Mourne."

Jelly gestured to showcase them agreeing.

"Keep her safe, Jelly. I shall be back before the moon kisses the horizon." With that, he headed down the stone road.

Dodging their wild like attacks, he Gunne was immediately hunted by the Misbegotten's that were fighting the knights of Castle Morne. His sword clashed with theirs to parry the hack and slashes of their cleave. With the balls of his feet, he slams a kick to their stomach by flicking his foot upward. The Misbegotten's feet leaves the ground from Gunne's force. A vertical overhead split open the beast's body. Gunne didn't stop. There were too many in the surrounding area for him to stop at one point. He was on a battlefield with a job he must complete. A moment of hesitation could lead to his death.

The end of his handle smashes into a Misbegotten's blade, shattering it. With a blade to their neck, their head rolls against the ground. Shredding through them, his blade a was pressurized water to an eraser.

A surviving knight was put against the odds as he was surrounded by the bodies of his comrades. His blade clashed with a cleave of the Misbegotten. His arms struggled to deal with the power this hefty weapon held. "Guh....this damned.....animal..." As he was stuck in place because of the Misbegotten, another was leaping into action with a blade to their back. But as they inched closer, the beast's arm vanished.

BINK!! The blade of a Misbegotten was stuck in a carriage as their arm falls to the ground. A blade stabs into the head of the Misbegotten. Holding the weapon was none other than Gunne.

His foot was placed on their abdomen and pushes off to help them retract his sword from their body. He then darts around the knight and bashes into it with his shoulder. It stumbles over and a cleave down the shoulder and to the hip drops the beast.

(A spirit) the soldier thought.

"Looks like that was the last one." Gunne swipes the blood off of his blade.

The soldier sighed and sheathed his sword. "Give up already."

"Pardon?" The confused Gunne turned to the soldier.

"You seem very skilled. But skill isn't enough." The two walked to a carriage the cleave was stuck in. "They have killed all our men here, the Castle Morne is completely under siege and reinforcements

are too far to matter." He sat on the edge of the carriage. "Unless you want to burn string of life again, I suggest you let those ambitions waver."

"Is that all? If so, I will continue onward. Lady Irina's security is sound. You may now rest soldier." Gunne turned his back to the man.

"You will pursue Castle Morne, knowing it is corrupted by the essence of traitors?" The soldier asked.

"It is M'Lord's wish. If I alone fail to complete this task. Then be it my will and I fight together." Gunne said.

The soldier cackled at this quote. As if he lost his mind.

"Is the will of a fellow soldier comical that comical?" Gunne turned back around.

"No... But the fool I am is." The soldier stood up and walked over to Gunne.

"I share no relations to a soul on this god forsaken land. The ties a soldier should have to their king is long gone. But you push forward with a fire in your eyes unforeseen. So I'd like to offer you my body." The soldier lent out a hand.

"Excuse me?" Gunne was yet again confused.

"You lost your body and is but a wandering soul in a corporeal realm. It would help to have a physical body. Take mine and save Castle Morne." The soldier looked sincere. "I have already given up on this world. If you shan't take this accord then my blade will bring death to my feet."

Gunne was stunned by this offer but moreso (By Marika, how do I possess a body?) He was recently turned into a spirit. So possessing a physical body again was new to him. "I'll shall take your offer." He grabbed the hand of the soldier and for a minute they were just looking at each other.

".....Dies it usually take this long?" The soldier asked.

"Give It a second." Gunne was focusing. (Maybe I should use what M'Lord told me.) He concentrated on the expelling of 'energy(himself) into an object(the soldier) and as he did so, his soul entered the body of the soldier.

The chakra and soul of Gunne possessed the body of the soldier. Gunne opened his eyes fully and felt the warmth and heftiness of a physical body. "Oh have I missed living." He hugged the body he controlled in glee.

He smacked his face. "Stay Vigilant Gunne. You have been blessed with a horse, ride it to victory." With that, Gunne set off to Castle Mourne.
