The Mourne Conquest Continues

To get to the main points of the castle, he must vault over the walls. For him, there was no need for a ladder. Gunne placed a foot on the wall and darts upward. He lands on the platform and sees more misbegotten both fighting and stationary. But he landed in front of a man that was sitting on a box.

"Ah, there's a face I've not seen before. I'm Edgar, warden of this castle as ordained by Lord Godrick himself. But you can see how things have turned out. The menials have all rebelled. They gave me good service, or so I thought, but it seems it was all an act. Foul creatures, as it's said. And true enough they're foul inside and out. I'm sorry to disappoint you, But whatever you've come here to do, I'm afraid Castle Morne won't hold much longer."

"The fall of Castle Mourne is no foreign concept to me. That is why I have come. To slay all beasts that corrode this peninsula and report back to my liege."

"Then our goals align. There's a beast that needs to be slain. As I am bound by my duty, I cannot leave my post until I retrieve the armament that was stolen. Help me end this so I can see my daughter, Irina." Edgar pleaded.

"Your daughter is Irina?" Gunne asked.

"Yes. She is my precious daughter. I wish to see her face again." Edgar asserted.

Gunne pulls out a letter. "Then this is for you. I will commence my escapade. I suggest you go meet your daughter up the passage pass the carriage. Family is above all else." He walked off.

"....Irina." Edgar read the letter.

Gunne was aiding the soldiers that were struggling against the Misbegotten. For him, it was easy to split through the skulls of such untrained beast. Was it because of his link with Tyr that gave him such strength? His tutelage under the palms of Tyr and that samurai? Regardless, his strength was exponentially greater than it was originally.

______

Jelly was with Irina still. Floating beside her. Irina felt something from the jellyfish. "You.....are you from these lands?" Rather this was an extra sense she gained or intuition is unknown. But Irina could tell that there was something amidst with Jelly.

As she pondered the spirit's existence, a misbegotten jumped out of the bushes with a cleaver in hand, bringing it down upon Irina. The head of Jelly smashes against the cretin. Across the way, it is flung from its original position and into a wall. The cleaver lands right in front of Irina, scaring for a second. "Ah! What...what was that?" Jelly floats in front of Irina in silence.

"You saved my life?" Irina reached out to Jelly, patting their head. "Thank you."

________

Landing inside of a cellar, Gunne's nose was filled with an odor that seemed criminal. What he sees are cages with flesh and bones clumped together coming toward him slowly. "Disgusting." He kicks them out of the room, sending them flying into the ocean. A spirit resided in the many cages in the cellar. But as a former spirit, Gunne could tell that this wasn't an actual spirit. It was the message of a dying man left as spiritual essence.

"Please, help me. I'm of noble blood. If those hideous mongrels eat me, I'll be forever marred... Anything but that, please! Think of the disgrace!" - The Mourne Spirit.

"..." He knees to the cage and places both palms together. "I hope all safely reach the Erdtree." After praying for the victims, he left the cellar to continue his conquest of Castle Mourne.

He saw a soldier that was on the edge of the castle, surrounded by two Misbegotten.

"Those sadistic HERETICS." As they begun to leap into the air, their arms were separated from their bodies before they could even register the missing limbs.

Cleaving through their skull, one is split down the middle, bisected completely. The soldier who has yet to lose their will noticed the loss of limbs and death of one of the creatures. With a thrust of his sword, he pierces through the last Misbegotten's throat. He adjust his body and pushed the being off the castle cliff.

"Thank you, for your obligation." The soldier said to Gunne.

"No need for such. I am simply doing my job." He wipes the blood off his sword and continues his journey.

Subjugating the many creatures in the castle was tiring yet easy for him. None of them had the speed, strength, or skill to put up an actual fight. But their sheer numbers was exhausting for him. Gunne was wasting too much energy.

But finally, he reached a place that was led by large foot steps. A small island right outside of Castle Mourne. And he could see through the Arc that there was a large red beast. "With this, I will have successfully completed, Castle Mourne's subjugation."

Without hesitation, Gunne instantly covered the large distance that was in between him and the beast. From the hip, he rotates his body into the swing of his sword amplifying his power output. The skin of the beast and cut but nothing more. Not a torn muscle or ripped tendon. "By Marika!!"

The beast looked at him and with a swing, Gunne's back slammed into the structure of the arc he walked through. Cracks form in the solid object as it collapse from the force. The rubble falls to the ground as Gunne skips across the water and into the wall of Castle Mourne. "Guh..." Gunne while in pain, blocked the attack in the nick of time to mitigate the damage.

But there was no time to lay down and rejuvenate. The beast was on its way. With a sword over his head, Gunne somersaults out of the way. He slashed horizontally at the back of the Misbegotten but nothing. While the skin was cut, nothing else was. Gunne did not possess the strength to pierce through the muscles and tendons of the monster.

He backs away from the monster but its sword a great mass was nearing Gunne's neck. He ducks under the attack to avoid decapitation. Another comes from above. He sidesteps and jolts away from the beast. The Misbegotten's sword hacks into the ground. (How can a mere beast of that size be so quick on its feet? How am I suppose to beat something like this?)
