Tch!!
After hearing Goku's words, Vegeta's face turned solemn. Indeed, he would rather die than fuse with Goku. But if Bulma and Trunks were going to be killed, it made him hesitate.
He turned back to look at Bulma and Trunks. Their faces showed panic—fear. Seeing their expressions deeply hurt Vegeta. He might not be a good person, but he was undoubtedly a good husband and father!
Seeing Bulma and Trunks so afraid, Vegeta's resolve began to crack.
'But... Damn it!! Is there really no other way? Is fusing with Kakarot the only option? Are you kidding me?!'
Vegeta was tormented. On one hand, he had sworn never to fuse with Goku again. But on the other, he couldn't stand seeing his family so terrified. His heart wavered. He knew that fusing might be the only way to protect the Earth—to protect Bulma and Trunks.
"Don't hesitate, Vegeta," Goku said firmly. "If you wait any longer, we'll all be killed."
At that moment, Beerus' energy ball grew even larger. There was no stopping it. If it hit Earth, everything would be obliterated.
"Stop your nonsense, Kakarot. Fine, I agree!"
Vegeta gritted his teeth in humiliation. Compared to his previous vows, Bulma and Trunks mattered more. If his family and Earth were gone, what was the point of pride and self-esteem?
"Great, Vegeta! I knew you'd agree! But we only have one chance—we can't mess this up!"
Hearing Vegeta's reluctant agreement, Goku grinned. But this time, they couldn't afford to make any mistakes. If they failed and Fusion went wrong, Beerus would kill them instantly.
"I know!!" Vegeta snapped, nodding reluctantly.
At that moment, Piccolo and Gohan jumped into action, attacking Beerus. They had to buy time for Goku and Vegeta to complete the Fusion. Trunks and Goten fused into Gotenks, immediately transforming into Super Saiyan 3. But their power was far too weak—not even a fraction of Beerus' strength. They were defeated instantly.
Meanwhile, Goku and Vegeta stood side by side, performing the familiar dance-like Fusion technique.
"Fusion... HA!!"
Their voices rang out in unison. A golden light shot into the sky, forming a spiraling column. An incomparably powerful energy surged forth.
"Whis, what just happened?" Beerus asked, surprised. "The energy of those two vanished and formed a new one."
Beerus stared at the golden glow in shock. This new energy was far stronger than Goku and Vegeta had been separately. It intrigued him.
"Lord Beerus, it seems they have fused," Whis replied casually. "I'm not sure how, but they've definitely grown stronger."
Fusion wasn't an unheard-of technique in Universe 7. Many planets had their own variations. But what surprised Whis was the sheer power radiating from this fusion. It had reached the level of a being close to a God of Destruction.
"So that's it—they fused?" Beerus mused. "The energy is definitely stronger than before. Maybe this will actually be interesting."
A smirk crept across his face. The thought of a real fight excited him. This might be a trip worth taking after all.
As everyone watched in awe, the golden light slowly faded. A brand-new figure emerged.
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta had arrived.
His long red hair gleamed, and his sharp eyes radiated pure confidence. His physique was muscular, exuding power, and he wore the signature Metamoran vest. The aura around him was unlike anything before.
"Yo! Not bad!" Beerus said, intrigued. "I didn't expect Fusion to change you this much."
Gogeta clenched his fists, his whole body surging with untamed energy. His eyes burned with confidence.
"Beerus, I will be the one to take you down."
"Hmph! Ignorant fool," Beerus scoffed. "Do you think Fusion alone makes you strong enough to challenge a God of Destruction? Absurd."
Gogeta smirked and, without warning, vanished.
In an instant, he appeared in front of Beerus. Wasting no time, he poured all his power into a devastating punch.
Beerus reacted quickly, raising his palm to block.
BOOM!!!
The moment their attacks clashed, a massive shockwave erupted, rippling through the battlefield. The force traveled through Beerus' arm, shaking his entire body. Beerus was sent flying dozens of feet away.
Landing on his feet, Beerus' face finally showed a flicker of shock.
