UNRAVELLING

I get out of his space and go out through the doors that open to the adjacent balcony and let him do what he does best. I needed a bit of fresh air, I was suffocating myself. Was Rahim such a big fish that he had enemies left, right, and center, I hadn't seen him with women or ladies, was I the first one or was he more discreet? And his adversaries have decided to target me now. I know I was spiraling but I couldn't help it.

After the blunt reached its butt, I dimmed it and went back to the room to discard it.

"Hey Z sit down," and I did exactly that opposite him.

I couldn't look at him, the waiting was eating me up, and patience wasn't my strongest suit. I filled the shot glass and gulped it down, then I took the juice and sipped it to soothe the bitter taste in my mouth.
