Let go of my hand!

Dew, waiting for Ruprecht to answer his question, however, he noticed that his royal valet's face is flushed with a red hue and his ears also seems a bit red, pondering to himself, Dew remarked in his heart, 'Is he having a fever? Or does he suffer from an attack...hmm..maybe I should check?'

Ruprecht whose eyes had lowered at some point, didn't know why he couldn't look at His Majesty's face straight, 'What is happening? Why is my heart beating so fast? Did I have been poisoned?.....but when? I thin-'

The royal valet's mind was flooding with numerous questions when suddenly he felt something cold touched his forehead, his reflexes as the personal guard of the Emperor is no joke, as he grabbed that thing in an instant with a force, not missing to look at the intruder.

"Ah...What are you doing?" Dew's hand was captured in his royal valet's hand, he groaned a bit at the sudden pain, the ache he felt around his wrist was not light.

"Your-Your Majesty?" A stuttering Ruprecht asked without letting the Emperor hand out of his grip instead giving it an unconscious squeeze.

"Let go of my hand!" This time Dew's ice chilled voice made Ruprecht come to his senses and finally removed his grip from the Emperor's hand.

Dew clutched his wrist, groaning in pain internally at the sight of his reddened wrist, his days had been tiring and at night too he couldn't rest, this is really making him grow more irritated at everything.

"If you are going to stand there like a stupid statue, then get out of my sight! And give your report to me tomorrow when you are in your right mind." Dew's ice-cold voice ordered Ruprecht, not indulging his rude behavior anymore even if he has sympathy for him.

The royal valet really regretted his action just now, he wanted to fall on his knees and plead the Emperor for his offense, though he knew it would somehow make His Majesty more angry, so he could only leave after giving his bow.

"Why the fuck is Eberhardt so delicate? It just got reddened instantly only with a slight exertion of force. Did he really not practice anything on his swordsmanship? But I have experienced his muscles memory when that assassin had come...uhh, this is really driving me crazy! I should think about those things in the morning." Dew said as his feet moved in the direction of the bed.

The Emperor, went to his grand bed, preparing to sleep with a throbbing head, he knew the change in environment is tough to handle, even though he had somewhat adjusted to the way they are, hoping to change everything gradually.

*Another day in Emperor court*

"Greeting to the sun of the Empire." Duke Reinhard Heydrich bowed in a respectful manner while he greeted the ruler of the Eldoria Empire.

'Oh..it seems the time has come.' The Emperor sitting on his inherited throne, uttered those words as his eyes became curious to know what is in the plate for him this time.

Duke Heydrich, a man who had made an intelligent network all those years, gaining deep resentment from the commoners whom he had robbed by selling things at undeserving prices also didn't let go of the Emperor's coffer, which had been emptied by half.

" Your Majesty, under your noble rule, the realm has flourished like never before, His Majesty's leadership is a beacon of hope for all your subjects, so as your subject it's my duty to serve Your Majesty in making Eldoria Empire the best." Heydrich started with his flattering lines as usual.

"So, how will you make it best?" Dew raised his eyes as he questioned the Duke Heydrich, internally commenting, 'As far as I know it's your greed that has flourished in Eberhardt's rule.'

"Your majesty, I have come to request for Your Majesty's permit on the new trading business that I'm planning on starting. I have years of experience in the trades, as Your majesty is aware that I own the monopoly in salt and sugar that had made our Eldoria known. So, this time as well I'm launching a new trade." His hand rubbing themselves together as he said those words with a nasty grin on his face, not even trying to hide his excitement.

"Trading in what?" Dew cut to the chase, although he knows the answer to his question.

Duke Heydrich presented a roll to Emperor, which was taken by the Ruprecht and given to Dew.

As Dew started reading the content, Duke Heydrich began his explanation," I have thought to make potion using these herbs as the ingredients, there are many people who can't use magic, although they have mana but it is not enough to provide them any powers, so I planned on creating potion that contain such powers that can heal, give strength and some new abilities to them." Duke Heydrich paused for catching his breath before continuing again.

"Of course, this trade will generate significant revenue for the Empire and I'm only trying my best to make our Eldoria Empire best." Duke Heydrich completed his sentence.

The Emperor knew what he was saying, pointing out every good point of the proposal that would make one's mind actively look forward it, not even having any shame at stealing someone else idea, and announcing it as his own, really a shameless man!

"The proposal is interesting, however, just a few days ago, my vessels also presented the same proposal and the most coincidence thing is they also had the same list of herbs including the foxglove." Dew leaned in to take a proper look at the Heydrich's reaction when he said those words, amusing in his heart.
